Why Is This Not a National Tragedy? A troubled young mother is shot dead and our ruling class...

A troubled young mother is shot dead and our ruling class applauds.

An unarmed 34-year-old woman suffering from postpartum depression is surrounded by the authorities while sitting in her car, and gunned down in cold blood. She is blocked in. She cannot move. And yet she is killed by heavily armed security officers. Her one-year old child witnesses this from the back seat. Why is this not a national tragedy?

Miriam Carey was a young African-American woman who wanted to better herself. She went to college and graduated with a BA degree in health and nutrition science. She became a dental hygienist. One of her neighbors noted that it was obvious she was educated. She gave birth to her daughter a year ago and began to suffer from postpartum depression. She displayed some irrational behavior and was put on medication.

Thus far it’s not an uncommon story. About 50% of women who give birth suffer from postpartum depression. A friend of mine was on medication for more than 8 years after her daughter was born. This might conceivably happen to my daughter. Or to one of Obama’s daughters, come to think of it.

Then, on October 3, Miriam crashed her car into a security barrier near the White House. She was surrounded by security men shouting at her and pointing high-power guns. Was it so irrational to try to escape, to protect her daughter from men pointing pistols at her? A chase ensued, and she then crashed her car into a median somewhere in the vicinity of the Congress. She was blocked by security forces from several agencies. She could not move. She was unarmed, and alone save for her daughter. In her car, unprotected. And then she was killed...

this sounds like cold blooded murder to a lot of people. If the cops were able to grab the baby out of the car why couldn’t they tazed her or pulled the keys or flattened the tires?
If a Citizen had done something like this there would be hell to pay.

I think it is a national tragedy and the jackbooted thugs that committed murder need to be arrested and tried

Moral: Don't try to drive your vehicle into the White House Gates and then go nuts driving all over the streets of DC. We're gonna stop you. And they did.

Thank God she didn't kill anyone....say like a 3 year old in a stroller and her mother...or a 70 year old grandmother...or a vet...

Everyone is important. Their job is to protect and that's what they did.

The cops “feared for their safety”. You can pretty much do anything if you “fear for your safety”. Although, if your name is George Zimmerman, you’ll have a hard time with that defense.

How come the front of her car doesn’t appear to have a scratch on it?

Yep, not much of a peep from the government propaganda networks.

I blame the Obama phones

She attempted to kill several police officers. She attempted to run her vehicle into the Capitol / White House.

Sadly, the cops did what they had to do.

She sounds like Obama's Julia, fatherless child and all. But she got too close to the Great and Powerful, scared them in their spendy shoes, and that's it for her.

A report from CNN(!) said that the woman’s child was removed from the car before she was shot.

This situation cries for an investigation.

Protect how? The car was stopped. There was no other way to prevent her from going any further?

Why didn’t they just Taze her???

Blocked in, nowhere to go, they reach in, remove the child from the vehicle and then empty their clips into her, probably while her hands were in plain sight on the steering wheel.

Is that the action of DC’s finest???

Another victim of terrorism. After the Naval yard shooting, police are understandably in prevent mode. After the ramming, they’re thinking suicide bomber...

I’ve yet to read a clear account of this story. All the people with cameras in DC on a clear day...she crashed a median? a barrier? ran over a cop? what exactly was she doing when they fired on her? Was she even driving at that moment?

But surely the REVrund Jackson and his coiffed Justice Brother have been marching and picketing every day in DC, no? Surely JJ has been chanting things like “No Juhhey No pea!” And “Pohees buhtanity!” Surely there are thousands of black people wearing t shirts with her photo on it?
