Confirmation of Paid Democrat Trolls?
American Thinker ^ | 5 Oct 13 | Randy Fardal

On Thursday, Democrat tool Chad Henderson claimed to have enrolled in ObamaCare while most others' attempts failed. News organizations eagerly lapped up his story. Apparently, though, the story was "too good to check," because when someone finally did, it fell apart, discrediting Big Media, the Democrats, and ObamaCare.

Conservative and libertarian websites now are reporting the corrected story, and even some Big Media outlets reluctantly are reporting it. But almost as devastating to the left is Mr. Henderson's confession that he is being paid to post pro-Democrat propaganda on the internet:

Secondly, I work for an organization that pays me quarterly to posts [sic] the political stuff as "advocacy" (so it's kind of my job).

He claims to be employed as a "Volunteer at Organizing for America." Does that mean the president's OFA fundraising machine actually has to pay people to post Democrat talking points on other websites?

Does it also pay "trolls" to disrupt civil debate in the comment sections of conservative websites?

There was a thread on FR Just before the last election about this.

This was going on since the earliest days of FR.

Here's the link to the first one (that I know of), during the 2004 Bush-Kerry election.

Punk the prez? - Moby's anti-Bush tricks

One of Sen. John Kerry's celebrity supporters is ready to pull out all the stops to get him elected. Republicans are shrieking over a suggestion by rocker Moby that Democrats spread gossip about President Bush on the Internet. "No one's talking about how to keep the other side home on Election Day," Moby tells us. "It's a lot easier than you think and it doesn't cost that much. This election can be won by 200,000 votes."

Moby suggests that it's possible to seed doubt among Bush's far-right supporters on the Web.

"You target his natural constituencies," says the Grammy-nominated techno-wizard. "For example, you can go on all the pro-life chat rooms and say you're an outraged right-wing voter and that you know that George Bush drove an ex-girlfriend to an abortion clinic and paid for her to get an abortion.

"Then you go to an anti-immigration Web site chat room and ask, 'What's all this about George Bush proposing amnesty for illegal aliens?'"

Moby's anti-Bush tricks (Kerry supporters admit to TROLLING conservative sites to hurt Bush)

Same story, different links and much more commentary.

From May 2012: Who really invented ‘Moby’ trolling? Alinsky

In blogosphere slang, a ‘Moby‘ is a particular kind of troll, namely a left-winger who posts right-wing extremist material on right-wing sites in order to discredit them. (This is somewhat distinct from a ‘concern troll‘, who seeks to sow dissension by posing as a concerned supporter.)

The ‘Moby’ species of troll is named after the eponymous electronic music producer, who in February 2004 proposed this tactic and is supposed to have invented it.

James Taranto, however, reminds us the tactic is anything but original.

Obamacare hero Chad Henderson confirms he never purchased health care plan, blames ‘confusion’

http://dailycaller.com/2013/10/04/obamacare-hero-chad-henderson-confirms-he-never-purchased-health-care-plan-blames-confusion/

“Though Henderson’s support for Obama and the health insurance program was reported, his close ties to Organizing for America were not. Henderson has volunteered for Organizing for America since 2007.”

The latest NDAA had a provision that got rid of the former ban on government propaganda. Here is info compiled from a couple of my earlier posts about this:

And since January of 2012 they can even go beyond the media itself. That’s when part of the NDAA went into effect, allowing the State Dept to fund whatever media communications they want to post whatever they want, as long as they can say there is a possibility of one foreign person reading that “educational” material. The law that overturned the anti-propaganda law that had been in effect until 2012 was the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012, which can be seen at http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-112hr5736ih/pdf/BILLS-112hr5736ih.pdf

IOW, they can create all the fake Twitter accounts they want, all the paid trolls to go on FR and other places, etc.... and say whatever they want about America or its people - for instance, that the people are blaming R’s for the shutdown - using federal money.

And make no mistake, Obama’s regime has saved up enough in slush funds to make sure those operations continue during a shutdown. Heck, he pulled 8 BILLION dollars out of his back pocket to illegally pay Egypt’s Morsi to kill innocent Egyptians and install Hamas near Israel, according to the son of Morsi’s #2 who has the documents to prove the claim. And I think it was $585 million that went missing from the implementation of Obamacare; the IRS just sort of “lost” that money...

People are starting to realize the media is compromised. So now the regime has to pose as normal Americans on places like Twitter. Now we’re learning that our tax money is paying for more fakes than just the Usurper-in-Chief. We’re also probably paying for bot-generated Twitter and Facebook posts, given that Obama’s got a couple million fake Twitter followers... Somebody here at FR posted a web page where you can order fake Twitter followers. IIRC, you can get a 100,000 fake followers for $100. For $1000 Obama could have a million fake followers.

He still needs the media to try to create enough of a positive image to keep his approval numbers above 30% so neither the fake followers nor the fake vote tabulations are recognized as total fabrications just like his BC, social security number, draft registration, and passport files...

Democrats have paid people to “protest” for years. This is just a logical extension.

Right, they don’t last long at FreeRepublic. But these paid trolls are a malignancy over at Breitbart. I wish that Breitbart would start banning them — based upon IP address so they don’t keep coming back under new user names. That would at least make it difficult for them and limit the number of troll posts.

I understand your point and generally agree with it, but actually when they pull fire alarms they are in fact invoking the power of government to force people to leave the premises.

You’ve got that right. I made it through about six months of postings before I hit that mark...and I used to post a lot more back then.

if the gov’t pays them they are gov’t agents. If their job is to suppress speech then it’s government censorship.

And you were surprised by this admission that the fool was paid?
Standard Democratic Operating Procedure.

Huey Long = James Carville; David Axelrod; Rahm Emanuel; David Pfoufle; Dan Pfeiffer; Stephanie Cutter; and all the other democratic operative crooks and commies.

And it’s going to get worse as Democratic “agent provacateurs” try to disrupt the Tea Party movement.

A little noggin’ knockin’ is called for.

Is that a plural You or a question directed to me?

If it's to me, then post #2 is a copy/paste of one of the lines in the article.
