That is a great read, but I wonder if it underestimates the NSA and overestimates what any sizable segment of patriots are willing to do. It is quite believable as to what the tyrant would be willing to do if he felt it was necessary.
Very good. I understand the reference, having studied the poet Paul Verlaine during my university days. For those who do not know, this line from Verlaine's poem Chanson d'automne was used as a signal to the French resistance in 1944 that the Allied invasion was imminent.
And a lot of people here seem to think that today's military and police would never go along with orders to turn their men and weapons on americans. Fools. All of them. Were the officers who gave and followed orders to assault the WWI vets tried and hung? No. In fact those officers are some of the most repected and idolized men of the 20th century. One even spent two terms in the white house.

Ioffe is simply following the natural inclinations of all lib/leftists which is to crush all dissent from their policies....if necessary, to use violence. I comment Ioffe for at least being honest in her totalitarian feelings...something many leftists stop short of. Of course, they’d like to see dissenters i.e. conservatives rounded up into concentration camps, but most stop a little short of demanding violent measures.
Honestly though, I believe too many of their own party would revolt to such nonsense. Sadly, we are destined to suffer 8 years of each Party until financial ruin occurs.
I wonder if Julia would think it OK for a Republican to use same force against a number of leftist orgs for being in opposition to the reigning administration...I believe that if it comes to actual war, the Right will prevail.
I second that. This has earmarks of being planned for years, and I think they feel that they are ready for the Big Show.
Things never do change with them. This is no different than Bill Ayers sitting around and planning where they were going to build the re-education camps for all of us.
