My husband is a physician who was trying to call the FDA on Monday (to receive approval for compassionate use of a drug) and nobody answered the phone because they decided not to go into work on Monday because they figured they would start their vacation early.

There was no reason to barricade the WW-II Memorial, but someone in the Obama White House did this knowing full well that Honor Flight veterans would be blocked and this show the “hardships” of the budget impasse. What these White House idiots did not consider was that these are the veterans who stormed the beaches at Normandy and the Pacific and would not tolerate this crap.
Nobody in Congress. That’s the President’s domain.
But it would have been OK if John Lewis or Hank Johnson had been moving those barricades and screaming about the civil rights of veterans. I call racism.

That statement indicates that he is clearly overqualified to be a park ranger. Transfer him to the TSA.
I think he’s saying that the people moving the barricades were Marcia Bachman and several other photo-op Pubbies, and I noticed the same thing. They’re ALL THE SAME! Throw them ALL out!
So this guy is a “public servant?” And armed, on top of everything? Methinks that he needs to be suspended and given training as to his function - and punching a Congressman (which, by the way, sounds an awful lot like a “terroristic threat”) who is assisting those that fought, bled and lost friends and relatives to defend our liberties ain’t it.
