If “OBAMACARE SUBSIDY HEALTH INSURANCE TAX,” aka OSHIT, is so popular, then why isn’t Mr. Michelle Obama enrolled?

This is enrollment day number two, Barry: tick-tock - - -

What’s with the BS? You quote from wikipedia. So do I. Link is below, table on the right hand side lists casualties.

"This so-called Bonus Army gathered at the Capital Building on the 17th of June as the Senate was prepared to vote on a bill that had already been passed by the House of Representatives and that would have moved forward the time when the veterans could receive their cash bonuses. But the Senate blocked the bill. Many of the marchers then refused to leave a federal construction site. A fight broke out with police, resulting in casualties on both sides. It was at this point that President Herbert Hoover ordered federal troops armed with unsheathed bayonets and tear gas, under the overall command of General Douglas MacArthur, to repel the protestors.

DC police got into a brawl with the marchers, not the federal government. It was in response to that brawl that the feds got involved.

That would be wrong. The state national guard only belongs to the fed when it’s activated for that purpose. Otherwise, it’s at the direction of the governor of the state, who can call it out, but who also has to pay for it.

The writer asserted that both the “old Soviet conservatives” in Russia 20 years ago and the Tea Party representatives in the House were “intransigent, bull-headed faction[s]”.

The Dumbass writer should have gone back another 80 years in Soviet History...

The Tea Party is Anti-Leninists....

Sit back and noodle on this comment and others like it.

When sycophants email, tweet, call out their beloved gods what tends to happen?

Let’s say I’m a huge LeBron James fan, or a Jimmie Johnson fan or whatever - it doesn’t matter which example - and I write something for public consumption regarding or to them - typically I’m writing what my idol wants to hear in some way shape or form. LeBron you are the greatest, you’re better than Michael, you’re better than Kobe. I’m not a racing fan so I can’t come up with an on target Jimmie Johnson example but you see where I’m going.

Sycophants tend to echo what they think their gods and idols want to hear. The thoughts and impulse don’t arise out of a vacuum. Nobody told George Bush or even Clinton to do this.

I think this speaks volumes and the message is not pretty.

Happened before with the Bonus Army march of 1932. Four dead, over 1000 injured.
Freedom of speech? Freedom of assembly?

“Shut up”, they explained.

Difference between now and then... It sometimes took days for the news to reach the rest of the country...

Thank You Al Gore for the internet! :P

Perhaps some governors need to make sure that the commanders of the NG units of their state understand they answer to the governor not the feds and if and when they are called out to put the boot of the feds on that states citizens throat their boss is in the governors mansion not in the White House.

I like the citizen soldiers in the national guard.

And I do think they’d be far less likely to disobey an illegal order to fire on Americans. They are us....living and working with us every day.

Prior to the pink swastika, I had lots of faith in the active duty soldiers.

But when an ignorant battalion commander in the famed 101st Airborne division emails his troops and tells them to be alarmed with anti-gay groups like the Family Research Council, American Family Association, and, believe it or not, Focus on the Family was in that email, then I don’t know who to trust on the active duty side.

This is quite different from the Bonus Army. The Bonus Army were WWI veterans asking for a post-service pay ‘bonus’ from the Fed. government during economic hardship. A post service pay bonus was not legal or authorized. It was a thinly veiled sit-in-for-pay guised in the cloak of patriotism. They wanted to get paid above their pensions or severance.

These nitwits are getting closer and closer to being in charge—we all need to be fully prepared. And by these nitwits, I mean those who are willing and want to actually use force, not legislation.

During the military operation, Major Dwight D. Eisenhower, later the 34th President of the United States, served as one of MacArthur’s junior aides. Believing it wrong for the Army’s highest-ranking officer to lead an action against fellow American war veterans, he strongly advised MacArthur against taking any public role: “I told that dumb son-of-a-bitch not to go down there,” he said later. “I told him it was no place for the Chief of Staff.” Despite his misgivings, Eisenhower later wrote the Army’s official incident report which endorsed MacArthur’s conduct.

Yup. Screw Eisenhower, too.

Unfortunately, they have an effective workaround for that. You won't be facing local boys. NG units will be told to stand down. They will be replaced with U.S. Army units cloaked as NG.

I really feel it necessary to point out that the name of the building that Yeltsin’s tanks fired on is.... The White House.
