On Tuesday, Julia Ioffe, senior editor for the liberal New Republic publication, all but suggested that President Obama needed to use military force against Tea Party conservatives in Congress. Ioffe likened the current federal government shutdown to the 1993 constitutional crisis in Russia, where then-President Boris Yeltsin ultimately ended the impasse by dissolving the parliament, and had tanks shell the legislative body's "White House".
The writer asserted that both the "old Soviet conservatives" in Russia 20 years ago and the Tea Party representatives in the House were "intransigent, bull-headed faction[s]".
I thought that the WWI vets had been promised a bonus by fedgov.

Can a decent person alwo be a Democrat? Democrats are either dupes or con men. If you know a Democrat, ask them if they believe the Democrat line? If yes, they're a dupe. If no and they profit from the lies, they're con men.
The state/national guard aren’t what you need to worry about. The cops manning the speed traps and keeping the dunkin’ donuts safe for democracy will be the ones doing the raids, roundups and blockades.
I had to read up on it. Their bonus was a bond, with compound interest (!!) to be paid in 1945. They wanted redemption in 1932. That bond was a pretty sweet deal, never to be repeated, but one can’t live on promises.
Congress eventually gave them their early redemptions for the ‘it’s my money and I want it NOW’ crowd which lost out on over a decade of compound interest. But yeah, they were asking for something extraordinary when most everyone was broke. Quite different situation here. The WWII vets PAID for the memorial in addition to their service!

Time to contact every soldier you know. Ask them one simple question: “Will you shoot your own mother if Obama orders you to?”
Obama’s Communist minions might be quite surprised to find out which way those rifles are pointing.
When Obama makes his last gasp totalitarian grab, he will first take every military base in America with his Secret Police Forces (DHS police, etc.). He cannot trust loyal Americans in the military and their bases are setup to be easily overrun. Just take over the base armories by executive order. IMHO.

Ever heard of Volunteer Regiments? The Stonewall Brigade would like to add the capture of Washington to it’s battle flag and they are just a short drive away.
20 years ago that might have worked, now there are millions of AR-15, AK-47, SKS and Mosin Nagants out there in public hands. Also, those same people who bought them also bought a crap load of cheap surplus ammo to go with them.

Obamacare has nothing to do with this. It is all about ceding all control to the executive. That is what they want. That is why Reid just stated - How in the world can they (house Republicans) demand what is funded and what is not funded ?
Duh. Because the US Constitution makes it so.
