It will. It already has.

Either we will have a complete financial crash and chaos or some gutsy leaders will finally proclaim that people will no longer get their entitlement cash.
Maybe pennies on the dollar, or not at all.

Clearly, the money isn't there. The country is underwater. Something has to give.
They can print money all they want, but what's the difference between being paid 5 cents on the dollar or with new inflated dollars that are only worth 5 cents in old dollars?
(Or pick any number you want.)

Yes, but the all seeing and all knowing DOW Index says we are doing GREAT!

I know a stock market crash will crash the economy, but it being artificially high isn’t an indicator of a successful one.

Will Our Entitlement Programs Drive us to Financial Ruin?

NO.. it will drive the most successful capitalist system ever invented to degrade to socialism.. ultimately to communism..

Which (has been the plan) for hundred years by “progressives”...
It’s not strange or new or even “secret”... they have been saying, planning and plotting for a couple generations on this..

WHY?.. socialism was not made ILLEGAL by Congress is a mystery to me..
You know.... an amendment to make socialism illegal and a threat to FREEDOM..

Failure to do this has enabled socialism to thrive in the U.S...
America has been thoroughly BRAIN WASHED by the teachers Unions..

It’s NOT the progressives FAULT... it is the conservatives FAULT.....
Most knew socialism was a threat to FREEDOM and did NOTHING... “trying to be FAIR”...

Barack Obama is the deserved PUNISHMENT for it..
And the Bushes from top to bottom are COMPLICIT... in it..

BRILLIANT... REALLY.. Saul Alinsky was brilliant...
And Cloward-Piven tactics was genius.. MALIGNANT but brilliant..

Quite literally the ONLY way out of this mess is a CIVIL WAR...
WHich the progressives have planned for and are openly promoting..

The POOR poor conservatives do not see this..
And fail to admit it... therefore insuring IT WILL HAPPEN...

The New Milleniums and gen-exers already hate us for taking all of “their” social security. They’re going to be REALLY upset when they figure out they’re going to pay for our health insurance.

Wrong question.

When you are $17 Trillion in debt and have Trillions more in unfunded liabilities, the question is “Have Entitlements driven us to Financial Ruin?”

And the answer is “Yes.”

It depends on your idea of ruined. Will the way of life we once knew be ruined? It already has.

Having spent a lot of time in Scandinavia, I know exactly where this leads. We will still be here. The flag will still fly, people will still grill packs of hotdogs on fourth of July (they'll cost $12 a pack) but it won't be anything like you or I remember.

Everything will become a luxury. Our kids? They won't remember a time when a McDonald's meal didn't cost $15.

The entitlement programs are Ponzi schemes. They are unsustainable actuarially.

What does the author mean in the title with “Will”?

How about “Did”! It’s all over but the crash/weeping.

“I have no complaint if a good conservative blogger posts his own material to FR,
not as an excerpt to drive hits and discussion back to his blog,
but rather to impart useful information to OUR readers
and to promote and join in on the discussion and conservative activism HERE on FR.”

“If a blogger can’t or refuses do that, and if he constantly complains
or fights with our participants over it, then I’d just as soon he doesn’t post here.
It’s not my job to make his content or his presentation or cooperation acceptable to our readers.
That’s his job.
And if he cannot do it or refuses to do it and continues posting brief excerpts
only and obviously attempting to draw away our participants
while loudly complaining about it,
then I have no sympathy for his complaints
and the more apt I am to ban his account and blog.”

This can go on for 15 or 20 more years

The USSR milked it for 70. So long as the rest of the globe needs the Fed to run the printing presses as much as we do, I'm expecting at least that long.
