I don’t consider myself rich, living in a small two bedroom ranch, but...I know I am richer than most people living on this planet, that is for darn tootin’ sure.

And I appreciate every minute of it. Granted, I work my tail off, but...I at least have the choice in this country. So far.

I certainly don’t begrudge people wealthier than I am their wealth...I have always felt that if you start playing that game, there are always people who aren’t as wealthy as you are who will point their finger at you, no matter how much or little you have.

I had a bad experience with the census people. They ended up sending people to my house to interview me, which really pissed me off. This was after I DID fill out the form, fielded multiple calls from the office. I was at no time rude, didn’t swear, etc, but I let them know I was not providing any further information than they required on the form I sent in.

I am sure I got on a list.

Same here. I resisted till people came around. So I told them what they wanted to hear.

Nice pun. Obviously, the charts show not the income "redistributed" by the government, but the distribution of income across income groups using cumulative distribution function (CDF).....

Not a "pun". I understand the number crunching. Unlike you, I also understand the motivation behind the careful choice of words used in order to achieve the desired reaction in the reader. Much has been written on the manipulation of thought and emotion through the use of certain words and phrases by Marx through Ayers. You may not think that this article was written to reinforce the "social issue" of income inequality. You'd be wrong.

Correction; not “article”, but “titles” of the government charts.
