Sounds fairly mainstream among today’s dems. Obama supports Christian-murdering terrorists in ... well.. everywhere.

de Blasio in New York City, Lumumba in Jackson, Mississippi are just the new additions to a growing list of far left socialist and black liberationists in charge of our cities. Yes, I think de Blasio will be elected in NYC.
I am wondering how normal folks of all colors are going to be able to survive in this country. In fact I doubt if we can.
At the rate we are going, I suspect the break-up within the next 20-25 years or less.

Smart folks left these “cities” years ago.

This de Blahzio guy sounds like a typical New Yorker to me. If I recall correctly, the entire democrat party in the eighties did the bidding of the Sandanistas by denying support to the freedom fighters. What’s new? So Weiner would have been better?

People today don’t even know what a Sandanista is and don’t care.
It hasn’t hurt Tom Harkins career.

Which raises the question - why does New York City (or the State of New York, for that matter) have to remain the financial center of the US? I mean, Inter Continental Exchange, HQ'd in Atlanta, purchased the NYSE not long ago. A modern exchange can be operated from anywhere. Likewise, the banking and finance expertise now located in NY can function from any location using the internet, video conferencing, etc. So, if Di Blasio, or Di Blasio in concert with Cuomo and NY AG Schneiderman want to go overboard, watch for an exodus. It wouldn't be that hard to do, and I think these folks think that businesses will just continue to take it. If you strip out a lot more of the high income earners in the city, good luck making that town work.

I don’t know why the folks that work in the financial district put up with paying such high taxes. If they all moved out, NYC would have no money to pay for all their social programs.

New York is now a leading candidate to become the New Detroit.

This should be interesting: Lib judge does away with stop and frisk - already murders are on the rise, then Obamacommiecare will take effect destroying the economy even more which will raise crime even more - and to top it off the Marxists in NYC will vote for a Marxist which will be like nuking the Titanic after it hits the iceberg.
I am soooooooo glad I moved the hell out of that city.

If de Blasio gets in, expect a big exodus of companies out of the City.
Managers and CEOs make their money by forecasting the future based on present data, and the forecast for a de Blasio administration, based on all he’s said and done so far, is .... scary.
To: Wally_Kalbacken
Precisely.
NY came close to losing its primary industries before, and this could happen again.
The point is that rich people like living and working in NY because it is fashionable to do so because other rich people live there. Its a matter of critical mass. If bad politics makes NY unattractive to rich people that can change. The financial and other industries can move quickly if their owners decide to leave.

If NYC elects(?) this openly Marxist person to the Mayor’s office I can only pray for the population. A tsunami coming from the Southeast would be a welcome sight in only a few weeks.

Bill de Blasio isn't as smart as Mayor Bloomberg. When then Governor David Patterson came up with a plan to really hammer “the rich” with a huge tax increase, Bloomberg told him to back off on the idea. Bloomberg knew that a mere 48,000 city residents accounted for 50% of NYC operating budget. Taxing the rich in NYC would result in millions of dollars lost to the city and state. Why, because these rich folks would move away to escape the increased taxes.
With a true believer like Bill de Blasio as Mayor of NYC, count on him to implement his ideological stupidity. Remember, NYC voters, you voted to cut your own throats. Enjoy this putz.

There can’t be anything worse than working with Jesuits. There agenda was Catholic world rule. It is coming now to New York apparently

No offense, but I think your post goes a long way towards explaining how we ended up with unapologetic Marxists in positions of power.
The "stop & frisk" policy you mentioned was actually something right out of a totalitarian Marxist state. I don't know if it was a "lib judge" who overturned it, but I will say that Bill de Blasio is no more leftist than the guy who he will be succeeding.

As an independent, I was not even able to vote in the primaries. And as much as I dislike Llota, I find myself having to vote for him rather than give the Socialist give-away artist my support. It is really Sophie’s Choice, and you can’t blame me personally. I am surrounded by libtards who would, with their eyes wide open, march into a flaming oven or a gas chamber if their lib leader told them to. They really seem to have a self-destructive gene or something which compels them to select their own doom.
