A doctor told Kenya's The Star newspaper that Al Shabab militants castrated hostages, gouged out eyes and cut off limbs.
And that was just the beginning of the nightmarish cruelty of the radical group aligned with Al Qaeda that made its move Saturday.
"They removed...eyes, ears, nose. They get your hand and sharpen it like a pencil then they tell you to write your name with the blood," said the doctor, who was not named in the report cited by England's The Independent.
"They drive knives inside a child's body. Actually, if you look at all the bodies, unless those ones that were escaping, fingers are cut by pliers, the noses are ripped by pliers."
Other nightmarish accounts of the attack described Shabab militants decapitating hostages and throwing heads out windows.

At this point, I am beyond words.
And I really had to dig to find this in US media. First found it on the English paper the Independent, which has a copyright restriction on for us. Finally found this article which was somewhat shorter than the one in the Independent.

Where does rage like that come from? It is beyond comprehension.
Radical Islam is bad enough on it’s own, but I’m inclined to think those Shopping Mall Terrorists were sky high on a bunch of drugs. It takes a lot of work and energy to cut through a bone, or accomplish any of these cruel deeds. Most normal people would stop after a short period to catch their breath and then think, what am I doing? People caught up in a manic frenzy, and then fortified by narcotics have ceased to think for themselves.
