President Ronald Reagan and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
Modern era conservative heroes. We'll not soon see their like again.

We'll not soon see their like again.

That's why we need to become exactly like they were.

Can you imagine how flummoxed the leftists will be?

The Constitutional Convention met in Philadelphia, PA, at the Pennsylvania State House/ Independence Hall from 5/25-9/17/1787 for the purpose of drafting a new constitution to succeed the Articles of Confederation. George Washington was unanimously elected by the delegates to serve as the convention president. Washington presided over the convention while sitting in a mahogany chair crafted by John Folwell in 1779. James Madison, who presented the blueprint for the new Constitution and kept copious notes of the debate, reported that delegate Benjamin Franklin, near the conclusion of the convention, said: "I have often looked at that (a headboard on the back of the chair carved with the face of the sun) behind the president without being able to tell whether it was rising or setting. But now I ... know that it is a rising ... sun."

Outside Independence Hall, in Philadelphia, PA, when the Constitutional Convention ended on 9/17/1787, Mrs. Powel asked delegate Benjamin Franklin, "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" Franklin sharply replied, "A republic, if you can keep it."

Benjamin Franklin, 1706-1790: “When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.”

6/11/2004 – The final funeral service and interment of POTUS #40 RWR took place at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, CA. The service was broadcast live on network TV stations. During the 1980s, Ronald Reagan, U.K. Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, and Pope John Paul II formed a successful alliance which contributed to the internal collapse of the U.S.S.R. and the end of the 44 year Cold War. After the conclusion of the graveside service, the mourners filed by Reagan’s casket to pay their final respects. Lady Thatcher paused before his casket then turned her head to the left to gaze over the Pacific Ocean at the setting sun as it was literally slipping below the horizon.

Five months after POTUS #40 RWR’s death and 217 years after the Constitution was drafted, Barack Hussein Obama Jr. was elected as a U.S. Senator (D-IL). Four years after that he was elected the 44th POTUS.
