Christians are being singled out and massacred from Pakistan to Syria to the Nairobi shopping mall. Kirsten Powers on the deafening silence from U.S. pews and pulpits.

Christians in the Middle East and Africa are being slaughtered, tortured, raped, kidnapped, beheaded, and forced to flee the birthplace of Christianity. One would think this horror might be consuming the pulpits and pews of American churches. Not so. The silence has been nearly deafening.

I must admit that the media is largely silent, but this does not mean that the “American Churches” are.

Just waiting for the churches that make too much noise on this issue to be audited by the IRS and have their tax-exempt status threatened.

All Americans should be outraged at this! People should be marching in the streets and giving to help the embattled Christains of the Middle East! Obama and this Thugocracy isn’t America—he is a glitch, a bump in the road. But people must speak out—the churces of all stripes—believers in Christ —must speak out! Stand up and march this St, Michaels day!

Just look at every photo of Muslims protesting and you can see the hate in their eyes. They are worse than the barbarian hoards of ages past when wars would keep them in check. They are now a threat to western civilization as they grow in strength. They used to be goat-humpers that no one cared about, but Israel learned they have become more.

When is America going to learn?

My Church prays for them.

Did Ms. Powers mention what her own church does, I may have missed it in the article.

I didn’t see any mention of Pope Francis’ prayer vigil of 100,000 on 6 September, for peace in Syria the Catholic Churches here joined in with that.effort.

No mention

Celeb media/secular media tend to not know what they are talking about in this regard

She doesn’t see it because it doesn’t happen if its not reported I guess

She needs to go to the Vatican and report on what is going on there. Then shed find out the real story here. The media won’t allow good news stories about prayer

“My church prays for them on a regular basis.”

The IRS wants to know the content of those prayers.

"My church prays for them on a regular basis."

Good for you guys, but what good has it done? Why are Christians and non-Muslims being slaughtered after all your prayers? Where is your god to stop this? Seems apparent to me he's just kicking back after creating the universe/planet and watching what happens. So it's up to us to stop these savages.

Kirsten Powers: semi-deprogrammed Obamabot

Kirsten Powers - how about an article on this administration lack of outcry on the slaughter of Christians ?

O'Wait...that would mean you don't get invited to all the libtard DC parties...and all your libtard facebook friends de-friend you...

First Christian persecution is going to happen and in the end days, millions of faithful will be slaughtered before the rapture.

Second, American Christians themselves are under political persecution from this very administration. The article itself demonstrates this with the bill being ignored by Harry Reid. Obama will not mount a ‘crusade’ to save Christians in the Middle East or anywhere lest he be accused of violating church & state. Stopping religious persecution is not a sacred secular cause.

Lastly, I do think many Churches here are afraid for their congregations here. Western Christians are soft and many are not yet tempered for the trials that are to come. Truly, courage these days is lacking on many fronts in both the cause of Liberty and God.

Personally, I pray everyday for Christians in the Middle East and meditate on their trials, tribulations, and deaths. All I can do is pray for them and for myself that when the day of calling comes here, I too will either stand or kneel in final faithful service to God.

Like blacks slaughtering whites, once attention is brought to it, the savagery increases.

But when a white kills a black, it’s mass hysteria with Sharpton appearing out of nowhere looking for freebies and camera face time and riots sprout up to “Get Even”.

Yep, that’s how affirmative action and compassion works. Same with the church and Muslim religion existing together. (Just ask the Jews)

Thank You liberal democRATS !

This reminds of that old joke, it doesn’t fit this situation but I like it, big flood ,guy won’t leave his house cause he says God will save him, The water rises and he has to climb up on the roof, a dude comes with a boat, guy says “No, I’m good, God will save me.” Water keeps rising, another dude shows up with a helicopter, the guy says “Nah I’m fine, God’s got this.”

He drowns. He standing before Saint Peter lamenting that God didn’t help. Saint Peter is incredulous, “He sent you that boat and that helicopter, you numbskull”.

Anyway, those poor people need bullets, lots of bullets.

America’s pulpits do not have time for Middle Eastern Christians, they are too busy importing half of Mexico’s Christians.
