SCOTUS didn’t follow the Constitution McCain. So the Repubs should vote this thing down!

if obamacare is 100% self-appropriating, then there should be no battle now.

I would prefer a purge in the 2013 GOP of the spineless national (and some states) party leadership and a takeover by small government, personal liberty, states’ rights people.
However, our divide today is over similar issues to the 1856 blowup of the Whigs; tax slavery, regulatory slavery, debt slavery and immigration. Add in legislation without representation by the unelected bureaucracy having the force of law and today’s problem statement is fairly complete.

Yes but far more Democrats will support Obamacare than Republicans.

As Cruz said on Limbaugh...the GOP govern by fear, fear that they will lose their congressional power in 2014 elections if they are blamed for shutting down the government.
they underestimate conservative Americans and think we are incapable of critical independent thinking.
Republicans will lose because they have alienated the true patriots left in this country who will rally behind a candidate who remembers and preaches the values that founded this country...
acting on fear always leads to defeat...and defeated they will be especially if they manage to avoid a government shutdown by abandoning conservatives to the death panels of Obamacare.

Since there is ample evidence that years ago our elected representatives cease to represent the “will of the people” .... is there any way to put this whole mess up for a public vote?

I posted this yesterday or the day before....
1) If the Senate votes to fund Obamacare, and/or
2) If the House brings up a bill in response to Senate Amnesty bill,
then here is the result for 2014 - take it to the bank. America is fed up with the wussified "do-nothing" GOE Congress.

Yup. The fight is and remains in the House. The focus has been on the Senate for the past few days but the House is where mcconnellcare succeeds or fails.

This looks like a people are overawed by evil problem to me. Sometimes it takes a school of hard knocks to get through peoples heads that yes, when you stick with God, you get hurled into some nasty battles but you also win. And sometimes dire necessity is the only thing that will get people to try that approach. To put it in a more purely spiritual plane... the fear of hell cant get anybody to heaven, but it can get them to the point where they endeavor to make amends with heaven (at which point they find it surprisingly easy... the cross already did the tough stuff). Anyhow, Obama care is the political hell that God has set up here to inspire people to look for heaven again. IMHO.
NOPE! The only thing that is going to happen is that the idiot masses will become enraged and, like good little Obama soldiers, they will massacre the chosen scapegoat...you. Then they will slaughter the families of the opposition down to the last child. Then America will be as filthy, bloody, and miserable as the worst fourth world fecal dump for the rest of time.
Hell is coming to America but ONLY the innocent will suffer. The evil ones will prosper and delight in their destructive sadism. God will not save the helpless. If you aren't planning to leave the country yet then get crackin!

No longer the case as Bammy continues as a Dicktater.
Watch his DICKTATER skills when the Congress does not raise the Debt Ceiling (I can hope can't I?).
He will clearly be operating outside the Constitution when he continues borrowing money. If the pubbies do not have the stomach for a little defunding fight they sure as hell are not going to go against him on anything - THE GOP IS CLEARLY THE SURRENDER MONKEY PARTY AND NEED A NEW MASCOT AND SHOULD BE RETIRING THE ELEPHANT.

And then we as a free country, voted all 3 back into power.
Shame on who?
To: Wanderer99
Sorry you are still missing the big picture... in fact you are yourself a bit overawed by hell. If you actually got true confessions from the devil... the devil would tell you that being the devil sucks. And the same goes for the vaunted delight of the evil.

Let me be a little more specific in fact, if you are doubtful.
Heaven is based on love and God’s glory.
Hell is based on pride and vainglory.
Love is immensely durable and so is the glory that fills it.
Prides are so easily dinged. For every gloating pride the evil get they “pay for it” in dozens of narcissistic injuries that they have no metaphysical way of getting away from... because God did not build them to work that way.
Take courage and stand for the One and love and glorify Him. It will make all the difference in the world, in fact in eternity too.

“Why would House Republicans abandon their current principled position and go ahead and fund Obamacare?”
Because only about 45 of them don’t want it, and Obama, Reid, and Pelosi all know that.
