Ted Cruz’s strategy is working.
It is causing people and institutions to take a stand.
In this case, the Wall Street Journal has let us all know that they support Obamacare.
Now, I will avoid the WSJ. They are just another newspaper that wants to destroy the country.
“The legions never arrived”

"My guess is that someone on the TEXAS PING list personally knows a superb future Senate candidate, cut from the same cloth as Cruz and Lee."
Cornyn needs to be shown the exit. We can't have six more years of this bump on a log.
It [funding obamacare]may not be the end of the world, but it will sure as hell be the end of the United States of America as it once was. And I have no doubt that at the end of the day it will be funded.
To the snotty WSJ: “The legions” never arrived because they are busy earning a living and can’t afford the gas or airfare to get to D.C., you out-of-touch bastards. But if you and the country-club elites wonder where they are next year on election day, they’ll be at home, because it doesn’t take gas or airfare to stay at home and refuse to vote for your ilk. Then the Democrat Socialists can tax every GOP-elite to their last dollar, and we will carry on.
Pray America is waking up

IMHO lots of black swans are flying over America right now looking for a place to land. The first spot will be Wall Street due to a major economic setback of some sort and a resulting market crash that shocks the country. There are so many other things that could go wrong, but I think that one will occur first. It takes a reality check like that to fundamentally re-orient peoples’ thinking and attitudues.

On his far left Cruz has to fight Barack Obama, Harry Reid, etc.
On his immediate left he has to fight Mitch McConnell, John Cornyn, John McCain , etc.
Ted Cruz Ping!
If you want on/off this ping list, please let me know.
Please beware, this is a high-volume ping list!
As stated Cornyn’s not taking DC calls and the voice mailbox is full. Every other office was busy when I called. I will try again and email. Cornyn better be ready to retire. Maybe McCain promised to give him a cushy lobby connection.
I think that is a good strategy in my mind but I don’t understand how it can be implemented.
We have contacted Cornyn. We let him know that if he backs Reid over our senator, Ted Cruz, he should plan his retirement.
It makes no sense to poll obamacare so low and dreaded, yet turn around and poll paying for it so high.
Who are these rubes being polled, anyway?
Go to Cornyn’s office website through the senate.gov and click the Contact tab and leave an email. It was still working early this AM when we used it.
The WSJ is all for conservatism as long as it doesn’t interrupt the gravy train.
It would seem like the strategy depends on a finesse upon Harry Reid, getting him in a parliamentary box, forcing a THREAT of filibuster and a cloture vote, which stands a very good chance of not making the 60-vote threshold.
The Republicans in the Senate have an opportunity to use the Senate rules AGAINST Harry Reid. Now if they only seize it....
But there is McCain and Lindsey Graham, the wild cards, which threaten the principled stand, in that Republicans have diminishingly small support for any of this atrocity known as “the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010”.
Calling something “the law of the land” and getting a declaration that said law is not “unConstitutional” (a much different thing, in the end, than declaring it “Constitutional”) does not make this catastrophic miscarriage of legislative duties moral, ethical, or right in any manner.
The Constitutionality of the terms should be revisited on the grounds that the provisions of the law, as written and applied, do NOT apply equally to all citizens of the United States.
This whole defund thing has been really revealing. Its good to know who is really for smaller less intrusive constitutionally based government & who just pays it lip service.
You have to first consider the source.
Then you have to look at the questions and the sample. These so-called 'polls' are nothing but ginned-up press releases.
And there's no such thing as reporting anymore; the Clinton and Obama machines have utterly compromised the media. And those people know that the game is over-- the old media is dead-- so why pretend? Get the guy elected who's going to give you the most free stuff.
And if you think about it, those people need Obama and his policies. The last 10 years have seen the destruction of the relevance of broadcast tv, tv news, radio, telephone (landline) companies, payphones, fax machines, DVDs, VCRs, postal mail, the music industry, photography, photographers.
Nobody needs any of it anymore; it's all been supplanted by the iPhone.
