Putin criticizes Europe’s secularization
Catholic World News ^ | 9/24/2013

At a recent talk, President Vladimir Putin defended Christian values and criticized the secularization of Europe, according to the Russian news agency Interfax.

“We have been able to see many Euro-Atlantic countries effectively embark on a path of renouncing their roots, including Christian values, which underlie Western civilization,” he said. “Policies are pursued that put large families and same-sex partnerships in the same category, belief in God and belief in Satan.”

“Excesses of political correctness reach the point where there are serious discussions on the registration of parties that have propaganda of pedophilia as their objective,” he continued. “People in many European countries are ashamed and afraid of speaking about their religion, holidays are abolished or given other names, names that shyly conceal the nature of those holidays, and aggressive attempts are made to force this model on the rest of the world.”

“This is a direct path to degradation and primitiveness, to deep demographic and moral crises,” he added. “What can be a better indication of a moral crisis in human society than its loss of the ability for self-reproduction?”

Obama has conned more people than Putin has. I would seriously take Putin over Obama any day.

"I don't trust Putin but it seems that Bush was not entirely wrong in his charitable assessments of him."

I forgot about this. People gave him (Bush) a hard time. It turns out he may be right about the man.

Who would've thought the leader of Russia would be the only person standing up for Christian values?

Wow. He’s good at what he does. He knows all the right buttons to push.

I’m starting to think he’s planning to contest the 2016 republican nomination for president of the United States...

But you have to admit, that’s a pretty low bar.

Of course it is. I never imagined I would have any respect or admiration for a Russian leader. I hid under my desk at school because the Soviets were going to be launching missles at me. I lived through the Cold War and had no love for the Russians. That is how far we have fallen - I now trust a Russian president much more than an American president. Pretty sick.

The world has truly become upside-down.

Putin speaking up on behalf of Christianity, and leading a fight for cultural preservation and self-survival... while America continues to devolve and decay into a suicidal sewer of degeneracy, exemplified by one-party statism to trillion-dollar deficits to homo marriage and a depraved culture of mind-boggling putridness.

Maybe Putin can tell us how to dismantle the cultural Marxism bomb that his country unleashed on us.

That’s right - the guy who ordered polonium be squirted into a man’s tea - who poisoned & disfigured a political rival- and who has Russian journalists shot — is the perfect guy to lecture anyone about Christian values

If the KGB guy really ‘converted”, it’s equivalent to the Pope becoming a communist

I constantly find myself asking, What is he really up to?

<><><><

I view everything he says through the lens of How can I (speaking as Vlad now) best control the Russian people.

Gays make trouble.
non-Christians make trouble.

Good Christians render unto Caesar, and all that stuff.

He’s laughing at us, all right. Because so many actually buy his BS.

Putin will say and do what he thinks is in Russia’s best interest. Who would expect otherwise? He apparently sees Christian and family values as the best pragmatic chance to halt the extinction of ethnic Russians, even if he does not hold those beliefs himself. Regardless of his motives, it is quite an improvement over the old Soviet Union.

Put in stands up for his country and tells homosexuals to leave children alone. Obama apologizes for America and is turning our military gay and anti-God. Are you okay with that?

Back up a minute, cowboy. In the real world, one either trusts someone else, or one does not. It’s possible to distrust two people at once, despite the fact that one professes to be anti-homo.

Putin is trying to save his country and religious values will help that.

Obama is trying to destroy his country and is succeeding by helping destroy religious values with the support of the media/entertainment bodies.

Indeed, Americans can and know what is right and to fix it, we do not need outside help, however we have a lot of idiots who are empowered to stop Americans from fixing themselves. This is a terrorism problem we need to wake to. Just as there were Saudis on 911, now, under Obama, surprize surprize, many of the terrorists are American muslims...
