There was a Merry Christmas at my school, too.
What were these parents thinking?
One thing for sure, if I had been given some stupid name, when I turned 21 I would have gone to court and changed it.

A quite a few years ago we had been staying at our lake house on Shasta and my then 10 year old daughter had a bad case of stomach flu. So on the third straight day of her sickness we drove into Redding to the ER. We were the only ones there about 5:00 pm on a Sunday night and then the crack heads starting coming in. All had the same symptoms if severe headache and none of them could produce their MediCal card or ID for treatment. It was pretty funny watching and listening to them and their need for stronger meds because their headaches were so bad.
End of the story was they billed my insurance $6000 for that visit but the 20 or crack heads all got treated at no charge......
My sister, an RN, tells the same kind of story about the meth heads and crack users coming to the hospital needing medication regularly and of course for free which our gubmint gladly provides for them. You and I pay for those drugs. Time to shut the door on free drugs.
Where I work our safety guy is named Hazzard
Maybe her “husband” who fathered the baby did it...or maybe aliens...both are as illusive these days.
That is an extremely asymmetrical face.
I disagree.
There should be a government clinic where the drug of their choice is provided free with no questions asked. Their drug must be taken at the clinic under medical supervision, (a med tech is good enough.)
My plan would require a well written 'waiver' form in which the druggie acknowledges they are taking a lethal dosage by choice and releases the provider from civil suits by next of kin.
If the hospital is contracted with your insurance company’s network, the will only be paid a fraction of the charges the submitted and you will be required to pay the deductible if you have on, based on whatever amount the insurance company “allows” for the treatments that were given.
Your explanation of benefits that you receive from your insurance company will detail all the treatments and charges.
If the hospital accepted your insurance, I assure you the will not receive anything near the charges they submitted.
This was 17 years ago. I was traveling from Washington State to California. My point was more of my experience with system vs. the crack heads in Redding
I never paid a dime out of pocket for any claim
