In a recent interview with Salon, outspoken progressive Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) hailed the rise of what he called “stealth socialism” through America’s recent monetary policy decisions.
Asked by interviewer David Dayen whether the financial system has become “safer” in the years since the financial collapse and subsequent government interventions like 2010′s Dodd-Frank bill, Grayson praised the Federal Reserve for its “unconventional” policies that have “put us back on a low-level track toward growth.”
Asked about the Fed’s expanding balance sheet, the Florida Democrat said: “We’ve had a government takeover of the bond market. Stealth socialism’s been created. Government simply ends up owning more and more and more.”
“If government had taken over the steel industry, maybe it would have been more noticeable,” he added. “They’ve taken over the financing of housing industry as well, with a desired result.”
Grayson, a Harvard-educated lawyer and economist, offered praise for these sorts of policies: “The result is now, finally, particularly in areas that were hard-hit, like mine in Central Florida, housing is ticking up again. So the Fed did in essence create an economic baseline that has led to something along the lines of 50,000-100,000 jobs created a month, setting a foundation for recovery for the U.S. economy.”

There is nothing stealthy about how this administration is shoving socialism down the throats of the American people. Isn’t the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result? Because if it is then the demoncrat party is totally insane because socialism has not worked anywhere it has been tried.

Stealth socialism seems to be working as well as regular socialism.

There is nothing stealthy about the evil that Obama has unleashed on our country. ObamaCare is not stealthy. TARP was not stealthy. The Bailout was not stealthy. Cash-for-Clunkers was not stealthy. The annual Trillion dollar deficits were not stealthy. The government in DC is openly and unabashedly socialist and anti-American. I hope and pray that there will be enough freedom left in three years to repeal every corrupt bill that has been or will be forced through over these eight terrible years. The socialists who are running our country now have no legitimacy, and we need to stand up to them and never give up our freedom.
When everybody gets the vote, Alan Grayson’s get to make our laws.

“Stealth”? Is Grayson just emulating the President and deliberately saying the opposite of the truth? Or is there something even worse than the massive overt socialist onslaught that has already destroyed the lives of millions of Americans? God help us if there is more beneath the surface.
