The biggest hurdle Hillary Clinton has to clear is that her only foray into elected politics was 13 years ago -- in one of the only states where she was capable of winning an election.

Sexism is going to rear its ugly head in 2016 if she runs for the White House -- because public perception is very different for an aging woman than for an older man. I suspect even a lot of her supporters can't stomach the idea of voting for an old, worn-out hag.

Gaffes have far less impact when they aren’t aired endlessly by the mainstream media and aren’t constant fodder for late night comedy.

Which is to say, gaffes have far less impact when they are uttered by a Democrat.
