Economic Malpractice. The stagnation president.
The Weekly Standard ^ | Sept 30, 2013 | Fred Barnes

It's amazing how little President Obama has learned about economics in his four and a half years in the White House. Growth, incentives, tax reform, tax increases, private investment, the middle class, a second great depression, the sequester—all these issues have one thing in common: Obama doesn’t understand their role in our economy.

The jobless rate is 7.3 percent. But if the millions who’ve dropped out of the job market altogether since Obama took office in January 2009 were counted, the unemployment rate would be 10.8 percent. “In other words, the United States faces a permanently larger pool of jobless Americans,” says the American Enterprise Institute’s James Pethokoukis.

The median income was $51,017 in 2012, close to what it was in 2011 but below the $55,627 level in 2007 (before the recession). The peak was $56,080 in 1999. “The Census Bureau is just tracking pre-tax, pre-transfer, non-fringe-benefit market income,” Pethokoukis wrote. So, the bureau said, median income “does not completely capture the economic well-being of individuals and families.”

Large jobless rate, lower median income -- yet the media is covering this up for Obama.

See this article — maybe some day economists will calculate how damaging Obama’s policies have been to our current economy...

He knows he is lying and doing the wrong things for America. But he reads what his handlers put in the teleprompter. He is a moron. But even a moron can see what’s happening. Morons are smarter than stupid people. The dems rely on stupid people and fraud to maintain their power.

If they ever do admit to obama’s destruction of the US then keynes and liberalism will be dead for all time... which is why they will never admit to anything but:

“It was not enough spending. We need bigger government and higher taxes”. Kruchev made good on his 1959 threat at the UN.

“The dems rely on stupid people and fraud to maintain their power.”

Exactly.

Many people rather believe what the MSM tells them, than their own eyes.

Nikita Khrushchev September 29, 1959

Appeared before the U.N. AND BANGED HIS SHOE ON THE LECTERN!

“Your grandchildren will live under communism. You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept Communism outright; but we’ll keep feeding you small doses of Socialism until you will finally wake up and find that you already have Communism. We won’t have to fight you; we’ll so weaken your economy, until you fall like overripe fruit into our hands.”

It is terrifying to me. The movie “Idiocracy” is not the future. It is here now.

Obama and his kind are ideologically incapable of understanding anything about economics.

I remember it well even though I was very young. I watched the incremental loss of liberty and freedom over the years. Then in 08 I saw the end game running for president.

On this day in history:

On September 21

1792 The French National Convention voted to abolish the monarchy.

How do we do that here?

Well, not to take away from the point about creeping socialism, but Khruschev never said that before the UN. And the quote itself is somewhat in doubt since apparently it comes from someone who claimed to have heard Khruschev say it, not from Khruschev himself.

Obama has been entirely consistent in his ideas and Phlosophy,he said it out of his own mouth in a debate against Hillary Clinton when answering a question about the Capital gains tax. When it was explained to him that historically every time the Capital Gains tax was lowered, revenue increased to the government. Obama’s instructive and guiding principle response was, does not matter,it was a matter of fairness.
That’s it FOLKS,his guiding principle, hatred and getting even,or as he put it,fundamentally transforming the United States Of America

I fully agree. What Obama is doing is in plain sight for all to see. The MSM refuses to connect the dots because they support Obama's goals.

Obama's lies are becoming ever more blatant and provocative. He realizes that with a compliant MSM he can say whatever suits his purpose without fear of vetting or contradiction. His recent statements about raising the debt limit have been outrageous, but have also been ignored or even supported by the media.

I concluded years ago that our real enemies are in the mainstream media. If the media did their jobs the liberals would be exposed as the power hungry, America hating fools they really are.

IDIOCRACY...my favorite documentary...

I have an idea for a movie: an average American from 1953 has a series of dreams wherein he is transported to various scenes in the present day, such as:

A Gay Pride parade on the main street where he and his brothers in arms marched after WWII.

A public school history class, where a student asks questions about George Washington and is told that the Father of Our Country was an evil man because he owned slaves.

I'm sure you can think of many more possible scenes...

The only thing he has ever known how to do well is spin a message that appeals to low information voters.
That is all they’ve done from Day One and nothing else matters to them.
And as long as low information voters fall for it, there will only be more of the same.

I went to my 50th HS reunion this summer. We were reminiscing about what life was like back then, about our optimism for the future, about our feelings of security and belonging back then,.....

I suspect everybody left more than a little bit sad. How did things ever go so wrong in just half a century? How could things ever get back to the hopes and promises of back then, without a total collapse of what there is now?

It wasn't perfect, I know, but the real problems would've worked themselves out if there weren't such a push to hurry things along and plus that manipulate the world. JMHO

our real enemies are in the mainstream media.

They are the urban media. There are no streams running through a city, only sewer pipes.

The success of any culture depends on how successful it is at inhibiting envy, the force of destruction. Instead the urban media fans the flames of envy. The mystery of why cities the world over are always consumed with envy is simple: population density. Mankind has not naturally lived in an area containing 70,000 people per square mile. Enabled by new technology humans have only done so for a few generations, which is not anywhere close to being enough time to have properly evolved to tolerate it.

Humans are highly envious creatures, and we owe our high intelligence to the IQ test of warfare that envy causes. You can't pack envious homo sapiens in so tight, bumping shoulder to shoulder all day, and not have envy run amok.

The reason America was once a great country is because the ratio of land to humans was once large and the level of envy was small. As the population density increases, America is turning into another has-been European country consumed with socialism.
