The following are photos taken on Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Ronald Reagan Sports Park in Temecula, California. The Reagan statue and monument was likely vandalized either the night before or in the early morning hours of Friday September 20. The cause of the damage appears to be vandalism by arson. Local police were called to the scene and an investigation is ongoing.

- The missing/vandalized tiles were removed by city staff ... notice the burn marks at the base of the structure.
- Burned/damaged tiles on both side of the monument were reportedly removed by the city.
- Burn marks at the base of the monument.
- The soot I wiped off of the base with my finger.
- More soot that I wiped off with my finger from the Reagan statue hat.
- More damage ... the burning apparently burned a plant and damaged an after dark illumination light.
- Standing Tall. Despite this outrageous act by neo-fascist hooligan punks, Ronaldus Maximus still shines on.

Looks like a Hate Crime to me.
This piece of 'art' is called 'Traffic' and was 'dumped' into Confederation Square by the National Capital Commission in 1969; an example of government funding.
Another piece of 'art' entitled Complex Pile by U.S. artist Paul McCarthy was on display at the waterfront of West Kowloon Cultural District in Hong Kong. Perhaps after the exhibit ends, Mr. McCarthy might be willing to donate it as a memorial to Resident 0.00bama. It would sit nicely in front of Barry's Residential Library in Kenya!

Regardless of how they felt about Reagan, that was a very nice message about the sports park that they took down.

Beautiful likeness of President Reagan! Even without the vandalism damage pictured above, it looks like the statue today has discolored and fallen into a bit of disrepair... :-(
