Skip to comments.Obamacare in Critical condition as House Votes
Posted on 09/20/2013 10:29:06 AM PDT by publius911
Todays vote is a victory for the American people, who should not be forced to spend another dime on Obamacare. Opponents of the law are, and must remain, united in their opposition to funding this unworkable, unaffordable law. Senate Democrats must now make a decision: will they stand with President Obama to protect Obamacare or will they reject partisan politics to protect their constituents.

Put a “DNR” notation on the chart.
Time for the tongue-tied unions and other Democrat blocs that are scared spitless about ObamaCare to speak up and encourage their Democrat senators to get on board to defund this disaster. Why should the GOP have to fight it alone when it would benefit these morons who voted to re-elect the Worst President Ever.
If this is a propitious moment, a lot of pent up frustration will be harvested by the GOP now and it will stink to be the other guys.
BUT. The GOP should not get proud if this happens, as if they were so wonderful. What is wonderful, is God. This plan bids fair to block one of God’s means of bestowing grace. Big time. Jesus performed healings for a reason, and the greatly expanded capabilities of modern medicine — which Obamacare is poised to toss a monkey wrench into — is also a picture of this.
THAT is the "Money Shot"....and what should be hammered home in ads from now until 2014's Elections.
The takeover and elimination of competition, to favor specific LARGE contributors, aka, Drug Companies, along with moving to Single Payer for PRODUCTIVE earners subsidizing the parasitic Democrat voterbase, is what this is all about....
Perhaps I’m being cynical, but “what difference does it make?”, this will never get past the Senate!
Well, our dear Barack is a lame duck now. Let him quack his fake salve — we’ll go back to a real one. If events haven’t made it utterly clear by now that it IS a fake salve, they probably never will.
It all comes down to; will Senate Democrats place a higher priority on blindly following the whims of a lunatic or on getting reelected? That’s a pretty straight forward choice for those up for reelection in 2014.
Hey ‘cats it is poised to reap a lot of pent up frustration. The senate will see political heat like it never has seen before, now that the House has said no more goofing around. And the lame duck will be in the political roaster too.
Don’t discount the power of God to make fools look really foolish.
It will make as much difference as the first 41 times. Hard to get excited when the bill has no chance. The real fight was for the White House. This just in republicans lost and Obama was reelected and with it any hopes of repeal.
Was this strictly a party line vote? The breakdown is:
113th Congress, 1st Session
2 Seats Undecided
Not if we all spread the word. Our activism must match theirs, and logic and experience with previous debacles that "looked like a great idea," and are still with us, all negative experience support our position.
I would rather go down fighting and attacking, that run around in circles, shouting "Woe is us!"
But that's just me.
I know for certain, that if we do nothing, or "compromise," we are just as screwed if not worse."
"Freedom's just another word for 'nothing left to lose!"
Well, the issue is getting more coverage than usual this time. Because it is another CR up against the deadline, Dems are getting nervous and the media sees that its a chance to jump all over Republicans again. This is all about the messaging at this point but for some reason I believe Obama is itching for a shutdown.
He really needs a momentum swing and thinks this is it, despite the fact that his leadership has failed to ever produce a budget.
That's the most disgusting thing about the whole process, aside from the asinine, "You have to let us pass the law so you can see what's in it," the fact that it will not apply to the anointed ones, the elected officials, bureaucrats, Unions, and contributors.
WHAT KIND OF A FREE AND JUST SOCIETY IS THAT???
No elected congressperson (both houses) WHO HAS LOST SIGHT OF THAT DOESN'T BELONG IN OFFICE.
I think I just saw Obama on TV right now in reaction to the vote, acting like the whiney baby that he really is. Too busy to stop and see what he’s saying, but he looks mad.
Kind of analogous to the Syrian agreement - you say you have an agreement but nothing changes on the ground. I could see obamacare being much the same thing. First the implementation is postponed for several years, every interest group gets their own carveout exemption, and then the thing collapses of its own weight. Liberalism in all its internal contradictory glory!
Ping to watch the Dems refer to the House as a "death panel" for legislation.
Actually I disagree. The in fighting and closing othe the government is a suicide mission and will destroy what is ever left of our opposition. I am against suicide. We can get a lot done but you have to pick your battles.
Flame away. I know how popular that is.
He’s always pissed off about something - in the best tradition of muslims.
We know that our Father works behind all history. He, being rich in mercy, showers us with love and good things IN SPITE OF our ingratitude. This will be made plain to all at the Judgment.
May we all understand it Today!
Do you know the link to the official petition Cruz wants us to sign?
So what do you suggest? Because it seems that you suggest no opposition at all. We lost the election, and with it all hopes, you are saying.
It may ask for a donation, but you don’t have to donate.
See tag line :)
Ah, but he looks really mad! He’s got that laser death stare and eyes glazed over kind look that I’ve seen before when he doesn’t get what he wants. I am so tired of his arrogance. *sigh*
He needs an anger management class then.
It may ask for a donation, but you dont have to donate.
And there is also a link to the “undecided” republican senators of which McCain and Flake from AZ are both on. I tried to contact via email but was rejected as not having an AZ address.
You legislate in increments. Keep moving to the right. You are not going to get it all at once
I can’t believe Ford is hosting him.
I'm convinced if we sit back and do nothing, we will lose. I heard Cruz ask to get three others to sign and call. My goal is to get at least twenty five.
His anger is called ‘latent aggression’ and is typical of males raised without a father in the home.
Perhaps. But it will force Senators who are up for election in 2014 and come from states where Obamacare is hugely unpopular to vote against the will of the people. It will force them and their comrades in the House to go before the voters and tell them:
I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK, I VOTED FOR OBAMACARE AGAIN!!
Put a DNR notation on the chart!
You can be SURE Boehner is getting TONS of calls BEGGING HIM to STOP being a P*SSY!!!
“The takeover and elimination of competition, to favor specific LARGE contributors, aka, Drug Companies, along with moving to Single Payer for PRODUCTIVE earners subsidizing the parasitic Democrat voterbase, is what this is all about.... “
That is post of the year. Bravo!
He is the most arrogant, thin skinned POS I’ve ever seen, and that’s saying something.
Its not an exercise to get it to pass the Senate. Its to get the votes on record of those voting AGAINST defunding OCare (dems)
That alone will be the ammo needed to sink theDem majority
If it doesn’t matter either way, I would just as soon fight! Did the gays and other leftists quit when DOMA passed? Did Obama back off from his wild Socialism when the GOP took back the House? Does the left quit when gun control laws keep getting blocked?
Until we learn to fight like the opposition, we will continue to lose. I am with Cruz and Lee all the way!
The Republicans are not exactly trying to kill Obamacare, it is more like assisted suicide.
The Obama administration has admitted that they do not have the pricing and subsidy software for the 36 federally operated exchanges ready to go and that they don’t know when it will be ready.
It seems like whenever Obama wins, Americans lose.
Way past time for a bit of turnaround (as much as we can get!).
For once, I actually want to see his face all crumpled up.
