Maybe so, but spending must be initiated in the house.

If he vetos it, send it back w/ greater cuts.

It going to take brass balls to get it that far but we've crossed the Rubicon--------------BURN THE SHIPS there's no going back!

No. But by being willing to allow an indefinite shutdown, the House could force a compromise. Delay deathcare implementation for 2 years. The longer it’s delayed, the less chance it has of being implemented.
