Billy Ray Cyrus has rushed to the defense of his pop star daughter Miley insisting that she has ''risen to a whole new level'' since her controversial performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.
The 52-year-old actor and country singer said he is proud of his 20-year-old daughter and understands that she wants to leave her Disney image behind.

I’m always amused when uh “musicians” are called artists. Like they’re painting a picture as they’re strumming on a guitar or warbling off-key.

The fact he has to say this is that he secretly recognizes the reality is the world thinks she has NO talent and that the world is right. She has to be a slut to compensate with outrageous behavior and he’s trying to put out disinformation to justify this.
What would you expect him to say, “My daughter is a no-talent slut”?

When I read Billy Ray Cyrus’ quote, it sounded like something Honey Boo-Boo’s mother would say.
“...she has “risen to a whole new level.”
Just yesterday he was saying she is smart and talented.
“Risen” would be the wrong direction.
I was so puzzled by the STUPID hair bits on the top of her head and grossed out with the dagger tongue, my son said something that made it all click.
He said that Hollywood has a lot of devil worshippers and they have to turn the innocent little girls (and maybe the boys too?). I thought that would explain the little “horns” of her hair. And the pointed tongue? maybe devilish?
It made more sense to me than most things I could come up with to explain that horrible dance.
I weep for this country!
