In the year since the Benghazi terrorist attack took the lives of four Americans, House Republicans have continually pressed the Obama administration for answers regarding events preceding the attack, the administration’s response, and what has been done to protect the lives of Americans going forward. Those efforts will continue with three House committee hearings this week. Here’s more:
The House Foreign Affairs Committee holds a hearing Wednesday, September 18th at 10 am ET titled: “Benghazi: Where is the State Department Accountability?” The committee notes that four employees placed on administration leave following the attack have recently been re-assigned within the department. This hearing “will examine why no one inside the State Department has yet been held accountable for the failures and deficiencies identified” in the Benghazi Accountability Review Board’s report. [TUNE IN HERE ] The House Oversight & Government Reform Committee holds a hearing Thursday, September 19th at 9:30 am ET with Benghazi Accountability Review Board co-chairs Ambassador Thomas R. Pickering and Admiral Michael G. Mullen, USN (Ret.), members of the Department’s security panel that conducted a review, and family members of those killed in the attack. The hearing will focus on the review board’s investigation and questions that still remain regarding the attack and the administration’s response. [TUNE IN HERE] The House Armed Services Committee will hold a hearing Thursday, September 19th at 3:30 pm ET on lessons from Benghazi and the Defense Department’s ability to respond to similar attacks today. Earlier this year, House Republicans released an interim report on Benghazi outlining the findings of five committees of jurisdiction investigating the attacks, and laying out next steps – including additional hearings and an ongoing effort to obtain access to witnesses and information being withheld by the Obama administration. “It is disgraceful that one year later, even though a number of the terrorists who participated in this attack have been identified, not a single one has been brought to justice, Speaker Boehner said last week, pledging that Republicans “will press forward with our investigation until we have answers, full accountability, and justice.”
It is TIME to DownSize DC!
Take a lot of them out of our lives, by eliminating their meddling interference in what we are “required” to do for them. Time to force some of them to find a real job.
Time to eliminate entirely whole Departments in DC and return any worthwhile functions back to the States.

Let’s write down the questions that we have, in case some politicians are reading these posts. We don’t want them to forget what to ask. (I am sometimes appalled at the banality of the questions at these hearings.)
What were the 30 CIA personnel doing at the Benghazi annex, where are they now and what are their stories? Why are there retaliations against the one person who did not sign the “do not testify” documents?
Why was Ambassador Chris Stevens at the consulate that day, and why did he meet with the Turkish ambassador on that day? Was he set up and why?
How and why did the terrorists get through the check points in Benghazi?
Why such lackluster response from Washington?
What was our president doing during those eight hours when he could have sent troops to rescue our personnel? Was he really asleep during that “3:00 a.m.” call?
Why hasn’t security in some of these Middle Eastern embassies been improved even now?
These are from the top of my head. Please correct any misstatements on my part. I have my own answers to these questions, but I want testimony heard so I can convince my liberal friends in academe that this is an essential issue!!
I am becoming more and more convinced that if we had had an investigation back then, if the freaking media and politicians had not been so biased, we’d have a different president and a different situation in Syria.
Just two questions here:
Was the CIA running guns and missiles out of Benghazi to Islamist and AQ terrorists in Syria?
Who gave the stand down order?

I know and do thank him so much. This is not the Benghazi list. It is the combined Benghazi and Threat Matrix list.
Just keep thinking about a plumber in Pueblo Colorado who beat the democrat machine. Individuals can make a difference. A balance between Diogenisis pointing out the GOP-e problem and the enthusiasm Lazamataz has here will get us across the finish line.

OBAMACARE ‘DEFUND’ TO GET A VOTE - House Speaker John Boehner and his leadership team will today start the process of bringing forward a bill that would make funding the government conditional on defunding President Obama’s 2010 health law. This is a major victory for the Heritage Action PAC, the group led by former Sen. Jim DeMint, which has threatened to help unseat any Republican who votes for any bill that does not strip out new funding for ObamaCare. It’s also going to slow down the process of finding a way to avert a government shutdown on Oct. 1.
Thanks for the link, I get so angry that CSPAN does not carry this on one of their cable networks so the low information person might stumble upon it. The lineup they have is a joke. No room for any real information like this hearing, UHHHG
