remember the similarities of the sketch with the "American" Al Quada dirty bomb suspect who was held in seclusion for a really long time. Whatever happened to him?

Have you ever seen anyone executed as quickly as Tim McVey?

I've always thought that it was overly expedited. Always thought they/we would get more answers from McVey. Silly me!

Another piece of the puzzle.

Carol Howe

I have never been able to come to a conclusion about how much of her statements are true. I heard her on a interview on an OK radio station that sounded very credible.

For instance the discovery that Zacharias Moussoui had used Nick Berg’s laptop while Berg was a student.

...and that Moussoui and McVeigh also, for some reason, stayed at the Dreamland Motel in OKC.

File this in the folder with the downing of TWA 800. I bet Klinton had his hands in both.

Using logic doesn’t work against the government trolls on FR. Nice try though.

BTW - one of the places the tapes were rumored to be was a navy base in the DC area. I almost wrote this in my post yesterday.

I've always had the strong feeling that we weren't being told everything about Okla City, and I was skeptical that a truck full of fertilizer could do that kind of damage. I agree that to build a bomb like that requires some knowledge and experience that neither McVeigh, nor Nichols appeared to have. Also, I thought that McVeigh came to trial and ran through his appeals extraordinarily fast and curiously didn't write a tell all book, or even give interviews that dropped "bombshells" before he was quickly executed.

All this points to cover-up by Bubba Klinton, but why? To keep from having to pursue a War on Terror or maybe he was getting kickbacks from the Saudis, etc. ?

Remember that Nicolas Cage movie, Lord of War?

The USSR had just dissolved, and for a short time there was deep shock and worry about all kinds of Soviet weapons being for sale by ex-Soviet generals.

There was also deep US worry about keeping track of the stocks nuclear materials that might get lose from the former USSR, after the wall came down.

At the same time Germany was dealing with hate literature showing up, there—while it’s illegal in Germany it’s very hard to prevent it in the USA.

These two factors provided for strong Germany/US law enforcement synergy, and US hate groups sometimes prove receptive to German hangers-on; they’re sometimes seen as, “the genuine article”.

So Germany sent the army son of a German politician, Andreas Strassmeir, to the USA to go around acting crazily hateful and very German in a very noisy way before organizations that the SPLC had designated as hate groups. The plan was German & US intel and LE would learn who was printing up all this hateful stuff, and maybe learn of entities offering money for nuclear materials —info that could thwart acquisition efforts.

Timothy McVeigh had fought in Desert Storm 1 and had “failed out” of Special Forces training. Only he hadn’t —he went to work infiltrating US hate-groups, and he told his family as much. In fact they were even sanctioned to commit robberies, deal drugs —all activities that would strengthen their credentials as Bad Dastardly Men of Truly Remarkable Levels of Hate.

The final bust was timed delicately —the authorities wanted to bust the perps not with some light charge like conspiracy to commit terror, but rather attempted terror. That means you have to catch them with an actual bomb with imminent bomb emplacement, something that involves fairly delicate bust timing (notice striking parallels to airplane shoe bomber or underwear bomber, in which nearby witnesses wondered if the authorities might have WANTED them to board the airplane. Notice also similarities to Boston)

Alas, actual operatives in the field are not nearly as predicable as training manuals like to outline, and for unknown reasons the timetable of the actual blast was moved up at the last minute —the bomb did go off, killing more than 170 people.

If the deeply developed effort to penetrate such groups became clear, then the natural question would be WHY the blast had apparently been permitted to come off —legit law enforcement work would then risk making law enforcement appear culpable.

But Mcveigh’s cover was totally intact —he really had no official connection to US law-enforcement, and he really had been going around acting nuts. There were many witnesses to his behavior.

So, in view of Fast & Furious, or the Snowden matter, or Syria, how do YOU think our authorities called it…?

1. Admit they screwed up the bust timing, and permit themselves to be seen as responsible for the deaths of 170 people, including the destruction of a day-care center

2. Simply pretend McVeigh was NOT their guy, and that he was this super evil genus responsible for EVERYTHING

WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY DID...?

DO YOU THINK THEY HESITATED FOR EVEN ONE MICROSECOND..?

Doesn’t our recent history show you just HOW DIRTY our people have become?

Do you think that crossing-over process took just a year or two?

THIS ROT HAS BEEN FESTERING FOR A LONG TIME.

I agree that to build a bomb like that requires some knowledge and experience that neither McVeigh, nor Nichols appeared to have.

Actually, the "fertilizer bomb" or ANFO (ammonium nitrate/fuel oil) is about as simple as you can have. That's why they cracked down on sales of the fertilizer and even went so far as to consider requiring manufacturers to add micro ID tags so the lot could be traced.

I had a good buddy from Vietnam whose family raised cattle & wheat in the west. He told of digging a 6 foot deep hole, placing two bags of fertilizer and the appropriate amount of fuel oil. A half stick of dynamite was the booster charge to set it all off.

Voila, a 30 foot diameter hole to catch rainwater for the cattle.

Those days are probably long gone!

(I don't suppose YOU KNOW WHO will get their knickers in a wad. The recipes are all over the internet. If I'm wrong...., "Hi guys!, this was for academic discussion purposes only!" :-) )

1. Nichols went to Cebu, a place near major ops by Abu Sayyaf . Ramzi Yousef, too, went to Cebu.

2. Nichols stayed behind a Cebu lumberyard. Numerous AQ guys had been calling that lumberyard.

3. Nichols returned to Los Angeles aboard one of the flights Ramsi Yousef targeted in Operation Bojinka in the Phillipines.

4. Numerous times AQ pre-op protocol was to conduct airline dry-runs, the better to know what materials might be successfully smuggled onboard. In his return flight to the US, Nichols was stopped by US security in an attempt to smuggle 2 stun-guns onboard the airliner. Coincidence...?

5. Before his trips to the Phillipines, Nichols told his ex-wife that HE MIGHT DIE, never to return from the Phillipines. He left money for her in case that happened.

6. The founder of the Phillino muslim terror group Abu Sayyef told the Phillipine cops on videotape he had been present at a meeting between Ramsi Yousef and an American called, “The Farmer”. Before joining the US Army, Terry Nicols was what? A FARMER.
