I guess I’m wrong that Cain and Able married their sisters too, which would be considered deviant now, though God didn’t outlaw it till later.
My point is things weren’t always considered wrong in ancient times as they are now. So in my opinion it’s not so much a deviant sexual behavior as it is illegal and sinful.
Your many wives argument must be understood in historical context. God made it clear one man one woman.
Kings and rulers took the wives, concubines and property of the conquered, does not mean in any fashion the arrangements were sanctioned by God.
