Obama says Republicans blocking his efforts to fight economic inequality
The Hill ^ | 9/15/13 | Mike Lillis

Posted on 09/15/2013 11:32:15 AM PDT by Nachum

The president has powers to fight income inequality, President Obama argued in an interview broadcast Sunday, adding that Republicans in Congress have hobbled his efforts to do it. Appearing on ABC´s "This Week" program, Obama acknowledged that the wealthiest Americans have benefited disproportionately from the economic recovery of recent years. But he was quick to add that much of that trend is due to globalization, technology and, not least, the GOP´s opposition to his economic agenda – all factors he suggested are beyond his control. "I think the president can stop it," Obama said, when asked about the growing income

Is there a federal agency that isn’t armed now?

Is the Dairy Compact packing?

Is the Egg Board too chicken to carry?

Head Start will probably have armed troops sooner or later.

How many Democratic bigwigs got filthy rich off the global warming and alternative energy racket? The idea that the ruling power is behind the Dem Party is for economic equality is a big joke. The Dems want the people poor and at the government teet, and do so through a cynical program of government handouts in the name of economic equality.

Obama acknowledged that the wealthiest Americans have benefited disproportionately from the economic recovery of recent years.

Judging by the way him and Moochelle are living the high life, I'd almost agreeing with him...

When Obama says the GOP House “fight[s] income inequality” he means he isn’t getting full socialism fast enough. Keep up the fight!

When 90% of Americans are in dire poverty and 10% work for the government and its wealthy political allies.

Pretty much the setting of the book "Hunger Games".

Oh I doubt that is the end goal he has in mind. You must think, “constitutional amendment” to really grasp the degree of change he wants to impose on this nation.

What a great idea: make the county with the most chance for upward mobility for the greatest number of people into a Third World country in which everyone is poorer than the poorest who are there now. This is Obama’s “hope and change.” His handlers hope that they will change the U.S. into a Third World county, but that they themselves will be the dictators living in the lap of luxury, corruption and power. That’s what history teaches about demagogues. Americans are too naive and distracted to realize what is happening to them.

The wealthy have gained in this depression because low interest rates have allowed them to leverage their stock purchases. When the Bernanke bubble bursts, they’ll be down here with the rest of us.

The media has everyone believe that every problem is the Republicans fault. the media has them all believing that Obama is trying to help Americans but it's the evil Republicans who block every good thing Obama is trying to do. this is all medial lies of course but I've talked to people and they buy the media lies. the media also has everyone thinking that Republicans are statists, racists, woman hating, evil white men who only love the rich and corporations.

The media forget to mention that Obama ordered his IRS to rig the election for Obama and democrats in Congress. Obama’s EPA is implementing global warming crap and Obama is doing other unconstitutional executive orders.

The enemy of the American people is the democrat party. The democrat party controls

1. the news media

1. the news media
2. hollwywood
3. the presidency
4. The senate
5. the gov bureaucracies
5. the unions
7. the universities
8. the schools
9. soros , Lewis, zuckerberg, msny other billionaires are democrats.
10. Obama the main tyrant is a democrat
11. silicon valley, Google etc. are democrats
12. Pelosi, REid, fienstein, Shumer, Durbin , Lois lerner r democrats
13 . the rest of the media
14. IRS , EPA, DHS, HHS, TSA, FBI, etc.
15. liberals control the supreme Court( they approved Obamacare)
15 . Democrats control all the political money .Soros, tides foundation, gov grants,Zuckerberg,Lewis (another billionaire. moveon.org,unions etc.
16. lawyers, courts , NEA, teachers unions, nurse unions, AARP etc

Democrat party controls all this and more but the media and many others say that everything is the Republicans fault even though r’s have only a few votes majority in the House and that’s it

Democrats want to makes slaves of all Americans, turn us into cattle with less rights than a cow or farm chicken for them to manipulate.

Let’s be realistic. Obama couldn’t wipe his ass without one of his handlers showing him how. He is an empty suit who knows how to be charismatic.

Isn’t this what an opposition party suppose to do?

When Republicans were in charge the Democrats did not give an inch. They made the Republican compromise so much you would have thought the Democrats were still in power.

If this administration does not get one more piece of legislation passed I will be happy and the nation will be better off because of it.

Ending income inequality...no more Martha’s Vinyard(sp) for Obama to vacay at cause the wealthy won’t have the wealth to afford it.

The hippies had the answer here. As I recall, it involved a government guarenteed annual income for all with confiscatory taxes on those earning more.

His assertion is absurd.. you're right.

"And how can this be? For he is the Kwisatz Haderach Pussy!"

It is high time our ball-less Republican Eunichs in the House and Senate realize there is no peril in confronting this poser.

We don’t need less “inequality” we need more people getting wealthy (as in more than just those who are currently wealthy).

To respond to the absurd logic of combating “inequality” or “income gaps”, I defer to the Lady Thatcher:

It's so easy to go on tirade about the evil Republicans blocking his Socialist agenda here in the USA. He knows that he is safe. He won't dare contradict Putin, however, because he knows he is not safe. Putin can disclose his sealed background anytime he deems fit. Republicans wouldn't dare.
