Dangerous Times: Putin the Peacemaker vs. Obama the Warmonger
American Thinker ^ | September 14, 2013 | James Lewis

President Obama has now sabotaged four decades of stability in the Middle East. First he pulled down the biggest pillar of peace, the Mubarak regime in Egypt; then he bombed Libya into the Dark Ages; and now he has paraded "My Army" and "My Navy" against the Assad regime in Syria, which is just as evil as the rebels.

The one thing Obama has never faced honestly is what everybody knows to be the real threat -- namely mullahs with nukes.

In the strangest twist of history, it is Obama the radical leftist who is now acting as the destabilizing warmonger in the Middle East, while Vladimir Putin may be emerging as a stabilizing peacemaker.

Nobody can figure out whether Obama is the most hapless bumbler in history, or whether there is some sinister purpose behind it all.

It could be both.

But just as big a surprise is Putin's emerging role as a peacemaker.

Last week, we saw the first step in that process, when Putin and Assad agreed to allow supervised surrender of Syria's chemical weapons. We can assume that Putin also assured Assad of his continuing support against American-supported al-Qaeda rebels, which makes the rebellion unwinnable.

Meanwhile, Egypt's new military ruler, General Al Sisi, is reaching out to Putin to help stabilize his position against the Muslim Brotherhood, the war fanatics whom Obama has been aiding.

The Saudis, seeing Iranian mullahs with nukes emerging 50 miles from their shores, are also looking to make a deal with Putin. They have a lot of oil and money, and they cannot trust their American ally anymore.

If America bugs out, Russia is the obvious nuclear protector for the Saudis. In international affairs, survival comes first.

Last year, Vladimir Putin paid a friendly visit to Israel, meeting with the Israeli...

Actually, I think the Obama, the individual, has enough arrogance combined with poor analytical skills to have thought he would be able to waltz into the Syrian conflict with the “success” he had in Libya. Bingo, another rubble pile for his friends the Muslim Brotherhood.

He didn’t even get the number of the train that hit him. Kerry, on the other hand, is too stupid to realize yet what has happened.

it is Obama the radical leftist

Think of it as Obama, the powerful but not terribly sharp Sunni Jihadist and everything comes into focus.

He is a Sunni Jihadist put in place by the Keepers of the Holy Places of Mecca and Medina and backed and guided by the communist Soros through the likes of Valerie Jarret and like minded leftists who think they can use the mohammedans to destroy the bulwark of civilization, the USA, and then deal with the ragheads.

Putin is playing chess with Obama. He is not going for peace. Putin is looking for advantage.

The most important part of this article was the brief part about saudi. If saudi does decide that it’s better off under the Russian sphere of influence, it will probably drop the petrodollar in short order.

And that ladies and gentlemen would be a BFD.

There's a problem with your analogy, bmwcycle: while Putin is playing chess, President You Didn't Build That is trying to play Tiddlywinks.

Obama is currently negotiating with Putin the terms for the removal of the chemical arms from Syria. These negotiations entail the removal to be conducted and overseen by Russia/Putin, Assad’s main supporter and must trusted ally!

In order for Assad to agree to this plan, he has demanded that Obama promise that the US will not attack the genocidal Syrian regime, under any circumstances. These terms will leave Assad free to continue his butchering of innocent men, women, and children.

Once agreed upon, these negotiations would also result in Putin gaining the control over the Middle East’s future, essentially eliminating the central role of the US in that vital area of the world since the 1970’s.

To throw salt in the wound, Putin has also promised to further increase the shipment of conventional arms to Syria and Iran in an effort to secure the stability of those regimes; which would in turn make him a strong candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize. (Let’s just ignore the fact that 1,400 innocent civilians were murdered by chemical arms; while more than 100,000 innocents were murdered by conventional arms.)

Putin will exchange the chemical arms with Assad for an unlimited supply of conventional arms. In addition, Putin has also sent the Russian navy to protect Syria from any possible US attacks. We must all keep in mind the fact that the war in Syria is being waged between two evils. In one side we have Assad, Iran and Russia, and in the rebel’s side, Al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood and Obama. The US should have never gotten involved in the Syrian civil war.

Again, in the most egregious Orwellian fashion, the American Secretary of State thanks Putin for taking over the leadership in the Middle East after displacing the United States. Meanwhile, the American media will laud Obama’s Syrian debacle as a great victory for peace. Perhaps he will receive another Nobel Peace Prize, and this time it will be shared with Putin.

And if you go back through some other links I have posted, we are in the midst of massively/rapidly approving ports to send LNQ to Europe for about 1/4 of what they are paying Putin for it. It's all there. As usual, this is all a fog to get us to buy into removing Putin's monopoly in Europe. I can see them sitting around thinking, hmm, those babies in incubators worked well ( was a lie by a pr firm) to get us to go into Kuwait, so let's get another dead children thing about there to sell this war.

Based on regulatory approvals so far and sales contracts already signed, the US will export much more liquefied natural gas (LNG) by the end of the decade than most analysts thought possible even a year ago.

the agency may be moving more quickly to process the remaining 15 applications to export LNG to countries that do not have free trade agreements with the United States. “This demonstrates progress toward an enormous opportunity for the administration to bolster job creation and economic growth. The shale gas revolution has fundamentally changed the energy equation, positioning the United States as an energy superpower that can provide ample, affordable supplies to the domestic and international markets, and in a way that has helped reduce carbon dioxide emissions to near twenty-year lows.
