In Russia, politics and nationalist pride are the basis of Putin’s anti-American turn
Washington Post ^ | Sept 14, 2013 | By Kathy Lally and Will Englund,

MOSCOW — First, Vladimir Putin accused Hillary Rodham Clinton of inciting protests against him at the end of 2011.

The next fall, the Russian president threw the U.S. Agency for International Development out of his country. Then he decided civic groups that get U.S. financing must be foreign agents.

By the end of last year, Putin decided Americans had become unfit to adopt Russian children. This summer he decided to harbor Edward Snowden, the National Security Agency document leaker, despite strenuous U.S. objections.

And ever since the Syrian conflict began, Putin has thwarted President Obama’s attempts to get the United Nations to intervene.

Saturday, Russian and U.S. officials agreed on a plan to remove and destroy Syria’s chemical weapons, but Putin still shows no interest in dropping his support for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad despite U.S. assertions that he is destroying his country.

Surely this describes a powerful Russian leader who enjoys nothing more than finding any opportunity he can to land a nasty sucker punch to Obama.

Ok, then—imagine you are a Russian dissident, facing prison and thinking of fleeing overseas. Feel better that the church down the street is being remodeled?

I'd say you and Obama are just about on equal footing with Putin for hating America, hating our founding principles, hating our constitution, hating our Judeo-Christian heritage and hating our traditional America way of life.

Oh, wait a minute. At least Putin claims to believe in Christianity, God-given Liberty, equality and the fight against Islamofascism/terrorism. You don't.

*******************************

I never thought that I'd see the day that Americans would unfavorably compare a president to a Russian leader. Never.

It angers me that we have been forced to this point in our country. This should never have happened.

The reason Putin won’t allow Americans to adopt Russian children is because homosexuals were adopting them with the expected abuse and molesting.

IMHO Putin is at least doing what he thinks is good for Russia. 0bunghole is doing everything he can that is BAD for America.

Don’t admire him too much. You have no idea how many neglected children in Russia that could fine loving home in US. Unfortunately few bad apples on our side did so much damage.

Well, America should have never allowed homo perverts to adopt children in the first place. Back when America was a great and moral country, ruled by “common sense,” it never tolerated such depraved insanity.

Sexual orientation have nothing to do with a being pervert. I do agree with you about common sense statement. Look around and you can see people cruel to elderly, children, pets. Back to middle ages.

If Putin dislikes us, it's because neocons tried to destroy Russia AFTER the fall of the CCCP, and because SlicKKK KKKlintler bombed a totally innocent Slavic Orthodox Christian nation for eighty days and nights including Easter Sunday for the benefit of narco-terrorists and savages and to take that Juanita Broaddrick story off our own front pages, and there's another motive as well which involves George Soro and the international banking cartel and the sort of stunt which Soros and Obunga pulled in Libya two years ago.

The term BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China) means the block of countries which are outside of the US/British/European money and banking system (IMF, BIS etc. Derivatives-R-US etc.) and might actually survive when that system finally collapses, which it will unless something radical happens.

yes - exactly - and he's not allowing in country gays to adopt children in Russia.

He believes in traditional marriage.

he's the ONLY world leader bringing attention to - and calling for help to stop the slaughter of Christians

He's brought back the freedom and prominence of the church in Russia

So he doesn't like the muzzie loving, wimpy gay-pushing (Obama EVEN had the nerve to arrange an hour long meeting with gay leaders in Russia, promising help!) anti-Christian, warmongering muslim trying to reestablish the caliphate - handing first Libya, then Egypt, now wanting to give Syria to his MB - bringing up to the brink of WW111 -

Russia seems to be slowly becoming what we once were - while the POS in DC is turning us into what Russia used to be.

http://answersforthefaith.com/2013/08/08/putin-world-leaders-should-unite-to-end-christian-persecution/

While obama met with the gay leaders in Russia - Putin was doing this - link below. (What obama did was a blatant insult while a guest in another country - the height of ignorance, and arrogance - and certainly an embarrassment to us.

While our ‘dear leader’ gives a lavish state dinner EVERY year for muzzie leaders at the WH in honor Ramadan, Putin does this

http://en.rian.ru/russia/20130725/182424969/Christianity-Made-Russia-Great-World-Power—Putin.html

Putin speaks without a teleprompter - o’bummer NEVER sounds sincere...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3d_yxJhmjk the press certainly didn't report it - but the photos of Putin and other world leaders arriving together for the dinner - with no 'bummer in sight - he arrived 1/2 an hour later - all alone, no one greeting him, no lights even - etcetc - he was SHUNNED by the world leaders, and no one dared report it. He is a disgrace to our country.

Putin publishes an anti-Obama op-ed in the NYT, Obamamedia has to respond and diss him. Everything’s normal.

Which leads to an interesting question: if Obama rebuilt a church or two, and came out against gay marriage, would FReepers support him?

Dude, breathe out, you're getting purple from holding your breath!

he admits he is the type of “Christian” who thinks that Jesus was only a “great teacher”:

Exactly what muzzies believer - they ever revere Jesus -"Issa" as a great prophet and teacher. And that's all.

"But what's your excuse for your long-standing anti-Americanism? And what's your excuse for the pathetic, weak-assed B. Hussein Obama's anti-American Marxism?"

Washington Post piece is junk. And I don't see why patriotic feelings (rebaptized "nationalist pride" by WP), is bad for Russians and good for Americans.
