Politics: New emails show that the woman at the center of the IRS scandal over special scrutiny of conservative groups' applications for tax-exempt status targeted tea party applications specifically and directed they be held up.
While a possible "wag the dog" attack on Syria and other "phony" scandals like Benghazi have grabbed the headlines, Congress has continued its investigation into the Obama administration's targeting of tea party groups that sprang up in opposition to ObamaCare by the agency charged with enforcing it, the Internal Revenue Service.
In case anyone forgot, Lois Lerner, former head of the Exempt Organizations office of the IRS, who invoked her Fifth Amendment rights rather than tell what she did and knew about the targeting of tea party and other conservative groups, is still being paid with your tax dollars while on "administrative leave."
Yet another reason for her silence has been unearthed by a 2011 email released by the House Ways and Means Committee in which the woman who claimed she had done nothing wrong admitted that the tea party was not only targeted, but targeted at her direction, in response to the Citizens United case that so outraged President Obama because it reaffirmed the free-speech rights of those who oppose him.
In the February 2011 email, Lerner advised her staff — including then-Exempt Organizations Technical Manager Michael Seto and then-Rulings and Agreements director Holly Paz — that a tea party matter is "very dangerous" and something "Counsel and (Lerner adviser) Judy Kindell need to be in on." Lerner added: "Cincy should probably NOT have these cases."

In many blue state districts, the Tea Party is just noise to the entrenched Democrats who will win anyway. But to a RINO in a purple state...? Not so comfy...

I’m hoping the family dynasty Republicans and those who are “centrists” (Liberal-lite) will get primaried out.

That’s probably correct. But I think it’s necessary to challenge the precedent and put a little fear into the hearts of public officials that they too must obey the law. Otherwise, every time a liberal gets in charge they will push the boundary’s of power further.

for several months we’ve known that the IRS has been oppressing and targeting conservatives and donors to Repuvlicans.the IRS rigged the election for obama and the democrats. the conservative media has not said this much less shouted form the rooftops constantly which they should have and also said what i said that Obama ordered the IRS to rig the election for obama and and the democrats in congress. the conservative media have been absent on this issue .on impeaching obama for this . and also they haven’t given much coverage to the amnesty bill. we have no conservative media.what they talk about is trayvon and syria etc. what the msm tells them to talk about.
i’m not talking about just this particular piece of evidence .there ‘s been mountains of evidence that shows obama rigged the election by ordering the IRS to shut down the tea party movement and also to audit and target Republican donors. we have no conservative media, no leaders .

Wait a second. What she said was dangerous wasn’t the Tea Party but the “Tea Party matter”. Which I take to mean that she knew that what they were doing was risky because it could easily be seen as selectively targeting political enemies (which was sensible since that’s probably exactly what they were doing). She apparently didn’t want this risky business handled by the rank and file at “Cincy”, but by people more adept at handling such sensitive matters.
King George III would have easily recognized and approved of what is now going on...
But of course the Left jumps in and claims, “It’s no smoking gun!!”

Exactly...The rule of law ceased to exist when Obummer and his lapdog Holder came into office, law in the country became what they say it is.
