Government subsidized health care will be provided free to preferred groups.

My company a VERY large high end retailer has also removed all part
time health care, also along with this employees used to be able to
work more than part time hours if needed, but NO LONGER is this
allowed. If these folks are allowed to work ANY extra hours the company
will be forced to provide them with health care.

I would agree, especially with the obvious impossible hill to climb of the Senate and Executive branch holding the heavy hand.

I understand. It is an absolute shame any company is forced to do that.

TJ’s employees make bupkis—and low-income employees pay squat through the exchanges, so TJ’s probably has it worked out about right.

Nope. Apples and oranges. TJ’s was offering a cadillac plan to their part timers. Those folks won’t get anything close to what they were getting under a new kenyancare plan. When I worked for TJ’s 80% of the employees were part time. I don’t doubt they will lose a lot of productive employees because of this obamacare mess.

Really? I wonder how they could have afforded that.

Further thought: isn’t it in large part because Obamacare is requiring coverage for so much more stuff that the costs to employers like TJ’s are going up?

Gee speaking of dodging questions, answer mine:
Who is “they”???

Who is “They” that you are expecting to repeal this?

Who is “they” that you expect to repeal a law that hast even been implemented

We lost 2 years ago

look at where are the people who fought that fight, like Michelle Bachmann)

So who are “they” that are going to repeal a law that passed ON THEIR WATCH 2 years ago?

For the past 2 years the GOP “leadership” have been busy eating our young- the Tea Party guys sent to Congress to help fight the fight

You think “they” Mitch and Boehner are gonna grow a spine in the next 2 weeks and shut down the government? They not-so-secretly agree with Dingey Harry that guys like Cruz and Paul are anarchists

Especially “they” are not gonna grow a spine sand shut down the US when bambi has us in a war of words with Russia and maybe a real war if bambi alone decides to pull the trigger?

you might not like Krauts strategy but it is a strategy and not just bluster about how “they” need to do something

the best way to reverse a bad law it to make everyone live under it.

this defunding scheme won’t work-Obamacare(mandates) are still there.

Instead, go fight the CR debate and debt ceiling and reform the mandates & exchanges as part of the debt ceiling debate:
allow interstate exchanges;repeal federal mandates;
allow tax credits to go to individuals instead of companies(change ERISA law);etc

I think you have put your finger on something important.

The democrats wanted to use ObamaCare as a stepping stone to the one payer plan by forcing everyone onto the exchanges, and away from employer funded health insurance.

Divorcing health insurance from employers is actually a good thing, and corrects a huge mistake made during WWII when wage and price controls were imposed. This actually provides us with an opportunity! So pivot and start designing free market solutions as an alternative.

The other thing that needs to be put onto the chopping block is the law that mandates hospitals to provide emergency care regardless of ability to pay. This is the thing that produces the cost shifting that has made health care financing such a Gordian knot.
