This is the evidence that John Kerry cited as 'proof' that Assad was behind the gas attack.

Consider the tens of billions of dollars that are spent each year by our intelligence agencies, $57 billion by our 'black' program alone. Yet with all that backing, the Secretary of State relies on an op-ed from a writer who lied on her resume to land her current job.

We are so screwed.

There is a very simple explanation as to why John "I served in Vietnam" Kerry would cite a WSJ editorial rather than the 'take' from the Black Programs.

The 'take' didn't say what he wanted to say and the editorial did.

President Obama lied on his resume to get his current job.

Typical Foggy Bottom expert. All academic and no real world anything. Outside military vets I doubt a handful of under 30’s have ever been to the ME much less know anything about it.

Her attempted explanation smells too. My son defended his dissertation in the afternoon and was a “Doctor” by the time of the cocktail party that night. If she has submitted and defended her dissertation but Georgetown hasn’t yet awarded the degree, there is probably some problem.

Well so she’s submitted her dissertation and is waiting to hear word on her Doctorate...I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt there.

My objection is the Administrations total lack in the searching of the truth behind the gassing.

They already made of their minds as to who they wanted to support and clearly were in a rush for any supporting evidence they could get their hands on.

These people have been paid off by arab oil royality to be the military strong arm of their will...not ours.

The Clintonista trash did this in support the Bosnian mudslime aggressors and clearly got away with it, Huma Mahmood Abedin anyone?.

What difference does it make?

The Congress and government supports al Qaeda
over Americans.

They keep the borders open for them, arm them
at the border, and the terrorists (like in Boston)
DO NOT EVEN NEED PASSPORTS if they promise to
murder and rape Americans for the White House/DO”J”.

Every time I wandered into our command center, the "intel analysts" were always glued to only one broadcast source for their "reports": CNN. None of them had ever "walked the ground" or been out there, deep in Indian territory, but their words were repeated as gospel at every senior level briefing. We are so screwed indeed.

I don't know how people think they can get away with lying about their education. Not only is it easy to check, but it used to be checked all the time before people were hired for jobs where there was an educational requirement.

How was it checked? I was told to bring my sheepskins and my professional licenses with me when I processed into a new job.

I guess the Institute for the Study of War people are simply too lazy to ask to seen the sheepskin and are too lazy to call the university(ies) in question.

It seems to me as if the ISW people are no brighter than the morons at the New York Times and the Boston Globe who have hired liars who then proceeded to file stores that were lies.

O’Bagy told POLITICO’s Kate Brannen in an interview Monday that she had submitted and defended her dissertation and was waiting for Georgetown University to confer her degree.

There is a technical term for that status and it ain't Ph.D

After reading the article, this seems much ado about nothing. Yes, she may have stretched it a little in the sense that she does not have the doctorate conferred on her yet, but has submitted her dissertation and is awaiting Georgetown to confer the degree. Sounds to me like all the work has been done for the doctorate and the paperwork needs to come through.

Of more importance is the fact that when she submitted the op-ed, the Wall Street Journal omitted her affiliations. According to the article, she has never made any secret as to her affiliations with this pro rebel group. Now, the WSJ later corrected it. Was that after she told them or some fact checker picked it up? I don’t know. However, it seems to me the fault here lies with the Wall Street Journal and their beating the drums to war.

Someone mentioned in a post, what 26 year old knows anything about the world. Well, it looks like from the article she has extensive experience on the subject of Syria and this current war. By 26, I had been in combat three times and travelled a lot of the world. So yeah, you can have a lot of experience at 26.

Did she stretch it a little to get that job at the institute? Probably, but it’s not an outright lie. She probably knew she was on her way to getting a doctorate conferred on her and wanted the job. Hey, it happens...

While I don’t agree with her views of beating the drums to go to war, I think this article is much ado about not much. Other than the WSJ forcing the issue on going to war.
