The Colorado recalls dealt a serious blow to gun-control advocates. Here’s why.

Something pretty remarkable happened in Colorado on Tuesday night. John Morse, the Democratic president of the state Senate, was recalled from office. So was Democratic state Sen. Angela Giron. Taken together, the losses arguably represent the biggest defeat for gun-control advocates since the push for expanded background checks failed in the U.S. Senate earlier this year.

It’s not every day that you see an incumbent recalled from office, let alone someone as high-profile as a state Senate president. The message the defeat of Morse and Giron sends to legislators all across the country is unmistakable: If you are thinking about pushing for new gun-control laws, you could face swift consequences. “You could almost call it the bellwether state as far as what’s going to happen down the road as far as gun-control and Second Amendment rights,” Republican George Rivera, who will fill Giron’s seat, told The Fix late last month.

I doubt Magpul will come back. Why should they? A small shift in the State Legislature and another idiotic Governor and they’ll be moving again. That costs big bux.

No, they’re gone for good.

The thing is, it isn’t just about gun rights anymore. A lot of us who don’t like guns support our constitutional rights not being trampled on, thus support the second ammendment. I do think that’s an unintended consequence of (1) Obama labeling Snowden a traitor and (2) the feds taking over control of our bodies with Obamacare.

“Libtards move from state to state, fouling their nest and then traveling on. Destroy New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Michigan, Maryland. Then when taxes, regulations, employment, and living conditions become intolerable, enter New Hampshire, Virginia, California, Colorado and turn them also into blue, bankrupt, prostrate, crap-covered basket cases. “

And don’t think for a minute that they are not busy “ infecting “ Texas!

Recall proponents were outspent six to one:

http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_24046748/outside-money-shows-national-interest-colorado-recall-elections

And in both recall districts, Democrat registration outnumbered Republican registration.

The commie media will spin this as a victory for the NRA even though this was a spontaneous grass roots effort and the NRA didn't get involved until after the recalls reached the ballot. That is, of course, when the commie media bothers to report the results at all, since they'll simply pretend this never happened, though of course if the recalls had failed, there would have been endless news shows, articles, and pundit commentary for at least a week.

A real surprise; CO people are liberal to the core, but the liberals let these two get away from them.

It seems to me that the recall forces need to identify some more candidates for recall and keep moving.

If repeal of these unconstitutional laws is not the object, then what is?

Why would gun owners turn out for romney? He was contemptuous of gun rights and made possession of many semi autos a felony. Maybe stupid gun owners went out of their way to vote for him but not the ones paying attention.

The irony is rich in your post; considering that Myth Romney was the first governor to sign an "assault weapons ban" and was anti-gun.

Myth did a good job of painting himself as an out of touch moron. Not just out of touch with voters, but even his own principles as the "severe conservative" flip-flopped on so many issues.

In fact the only flip-floppers of his caliber are fellow Bostonian liberal jackass John I've been to F'n Vietnam Kerry and ace fighter crasher Juan McAmnesty.
