America, we must stop ObamaCare before it becomes hazardous to our health -- by Jim DeMint
FoxNews ^ | Sept 10, 2013 | Jim DeMint

Posted on 09/10/2013 8:56:17 PM PDT by Innovative

Well, here are five of its worst side effects.

First, many Americans will lose their current health coverage.

Second, many Americans will lose access to physicians they trust.

Third, ObamaCare places bureaucrats between doctors and patients. The law imposes new penalties on doctors who do “not satisfactorily submit data” that meet Washington bureaucrats’ standards.

It also creates a panel of unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats empowered to make rulings that reduce Medicare spending.

And this just for starters -- no wonder Obama prefers to talk about Syria instead... anything to deflect from what really impacts us at home.

Except DeMint has no idea how to stop it.
So saying we ‘must’ tells us nothing.

He should have challenged Bohner as Speaker January 2 and then he could block any bill he wants from becoming law by not letting it out on floor for vote. But he didn’t. His current job is way better than that

No one stepped up. Not one of them.

The Gelding Old Party owns CommieCare as much as the clown. They have the means to defund it.

They don’t just own it, they benefit from it. Denouncing Obamacare is central to many Republican fundraising pleas. If they actually managed to repeal it, they’d be killing that golden goose.

I just realized as you said that how likely you are right...that those Rhinos are raking in campaign donations to talk tough and do nothing....
BTW:when those @ssholes retire, they must dissolve their campaign funds...but guess where: they set up a 501c3 tax-exempt organization controlled by them, their family and/or friends and put all of those unused campaign funds in that charity under their control with no tax on that transfer. When Bob Dole retired, he put over $45 million in unused campaign funds into his private non-profit tax-free.........neat gimmick for congress people who retire with large unused campaign funds.

DeMint had to work outside of the system. Washington Republicans are so unreliable and are working with the Dems he couldn’t advance his agenda.

“DeMint had to work outside of the system. Washington Republicans are so unreliable and are working with the Dems he couldn’t advance his agenda.”

You are so right about that. I would encourage you (if you haven’t done so already) to read his 2011 book “The Great Awakening: Two Years That Changed America, Washington and Me”.

http://www.amazon.com/The-Great-American-Awakening-Washington/dp/B006Z2WKAA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1378879497&sr=8-3&keywords=jim+demint

You can probably find it at your local library or get it cheap from Amazon.com. This book really opened my eyes to the fact that we need real change in DC - not just by getting rid of the Democrats but by getting rid of Republicans who talk out of both sides of their mouth.

My only regret is that DeMint didn’t mention by name the Republicans who either obstructed him or disregarded his ideas whenever he brought them forth. Although we can easily speculate as to who these Republicans were McConnell, Graham, etc), DeMint needed to call out these so-called Republicans.

Yep!. They are up to their butts in responsibility for CommieCare and may have the “means” but do they have the “backbone”? I guess that question answered itself as we already know what the “Gelding Party” stands for. (I like your title for them).

I think the Congress will move on immigration fast.
So, time to start burning up the phone lines ASAP.

The RATS know people are disgruntled right now, so they will move to keep themselves in power by giving amnesty.

This is number one right now.

STOP OBAMACARE ALERT Contact your state AG---ask him/her to issue a letter of inquiry to groups receiving federal "Navigator" grants. The inquiry should center on questions WRT how the group intends to protect consumer data.

In particular, the questionnaire should ask if the tax-funded "Navigator" program intends to transfer personal/ financial/medical data of the insured to the local/county/national Democrat Party, relevant Unions, banks, investment companies, drug companies, insurance companies. Trial Lawyers' associations and whether "Navigators" have sub rosa contracts with these, and other groups, to provide significant info to enrich databases for pecuniary purposes.

REFERENCE A West Virginia nonprofit has turned down a federal grant it received to help residents navigate new health insurance options under the Affordable Care Act after it received an inquiry from Attorney General Patrick Morrisey about how it would protect consumer information. Clarksburg-based West Virginia Parent Training Inc. did not respond to a letter it received from Morrisey directing it to answer 26 questions about the group's personnel and hiring practices, including employee background checks and employee monitoring programs, the Sunday Gazette-Mail (http://bit.ly/17M1QVe) reported. PLANNED PARENTHOOD WILL HAVE ACCESS TO SS#, TAX, MEDICAL INFORMATION
Breitbart Big Government ^ | 8/23/2013 | William Bigelow / FR Posted by markomalley

EXCERPT Planned Parenthood is about to obtain access to your Social Security number, tax form, bank account, and medical records.

With the advent of ObamaCare, consumers buying health insurance through health care exchanges will be required to speak to “navigators.” “Navigators” are supposed to help consumers find the best coverage and ascertain whether they are eligible for a federal subsidy.

Any “navigator” will have access to the federal data hub, which holds information from the Department of Health and Human Services, the IRS, the Social Security Administration, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Defense Department, the Office of Personnel Management, the Veterans Health Administration, and the Peace Corps.

Planned Parenthood received $655,000 from the Obama administration to hire navigators. In Iowa, Planned Parenthood of the Heartland received $214,427; in Montana, Intermountain Planned Parenthood, Inc. got $295,604; and in New Hampshire, Planned Parenthood of Northern New England raked in $145,161.

And there is not much scrutiny over who these “navigators” will be; HHS will not require background checks or fingerprinting, and a previous criminal conviction, even if it was for identity theft , will not trigger a rejection. To make matters worse, the administration has cut the new employees’ training from 30 hours to 20 and reduced screening. (Excerpt) Read more at breitbart.com ...

Uh, how could Jim Demint have challenged Boehner as speaker? Before he resigned Demint was in the Senate, not the house of representatives.

RE :”Uh, how could Jim Demint have challenged Boehner as speaker? Before he resigned Demint was in the Senate, not the house of representatives.”

As pointed out here regularly the Speaker doesn't have to be a member of the house. Like those votes for West.

The point is that DeMint has a great job now, he calls for Bohner to be the goat knowing he wont do it, so nothing gets done, so DeMint is a hero just like Rush is for barking. Oh, and his donations go up too.

This is a reason why Dems win never to be explained on talk radio,
all ‘our’ best heroes are backseat drivers who would never go near the wheel themselves and get rewarded for just barking.

I say 'step up to the plate'

Here ya go, I got not one taker at the time when Bohner was about to come up for a vote.

No one will take Boners job, call your favorite pet house hero and ask him to run against him as speaker, I dare you. He will never return the call.

Get on the phone and call your favorite House member to run as Speaker and tell us what he said,

Get someone to run against Bohner, its that simple.

You should challenge them (your favorite house members) to oppose him as Speaker by running for it themselves now , this losing and then scape-goating whining stuff is long past old.

I guess I never really thought about it but just assumed that you had to be a member to be the speaker since that has always been the case as far as I recall. After looking it up I see that you are correct, one does NOT necessarily have to be a member of the house. At any rate what is the real possibility that someone other than a house member could ever be elected? It is true that only house members vote on the choice of a speaker, isn’t it? I can’t name one speaker who was elected from the party in minority at the time, let alone one who was not a member of the house. I suspect that in reality the possibility is so minute as to be safely ignored.
