Full Title:Sen. Ted Cruz: I Don't Think President Obama 'Has the Authority' to Order Syria Strike Without Congressional Approval
Contradicting President Obama's assertion, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas said this morning on "This Week" that the president does not have the authority to order a military strike on Syria without Congressional approval.
"I don't think he has the authority," Cruz told ABC's George Stephanopoulos.
"It would be contrary to the Constitution," he added later, when Stephanopoulos asked him if acting without Congressional approval would be an impeachable offense, as some republicans have suggested.

He hasn’t had authority for anything he does but he still does it and Congress just sits on its butt and lets him.

I only heard the radio rebroadcast of this interview but Cruz was amazing. I can see why the Democrats are terrified of him.
I don’t see how a few missile strikes in Syria is more impeachable than the other attacks launched by himself or Clinton in Kosovo, Sudan, Libya, etc. attacks responding to strikes or threats against our citizens.

That’s never stopped His Royal Highness before and it won’t stop him this time, either.
