John Kerry Careful Not To Rule Out Return To UN For Syria Resolution [US Punts?]

John Kerry Careful Not To Rule Out Return To UN For Syria Resolution Secretary of state says 'the president and all of us are listening carefully to all our friends' after ally France hints at UN route 8 September 2013

The United States said on Sunday it did not rule out returning to the United Nations security council to secure a Syria resolution once UN inspectors complete a report on a chemical weapons attack, but also indicated that Arab countries were seeking a tough response.

Speaking at a news conference in Paris after meeting key Arab foreign ministers, secretary of state John Kerry said they were leaning towards supporting a G20 statement – already signed by 12 countries – that called for a strong international response following a 21 August chemical attack in Syria. Washington and Paris say forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad were behind the attack, in which more than 1,400 people are estimated to have been killed, and that he should be deterred from using such weapons again.

The French president, François Hollande, who is increasingly under pressure at home and among European partners to seek a UN mandate before any military intervention in Syria, on Saturday suggested that he could seek a resolution at the security council despite previous Russian and Chinese vetos.

"On President Hollande's comments with respect to the UN, the president [Barack Obama], and all of us, are listening carefully to all of our friends," Kerry said. "No decision has been made by the president."

Maybe they are confused since the rebels they supported are butchers beyond belief. The terrorists are giving them a headache.

So what happened to Obama’s “shot across the bow”? “Assad must go”?

We have Keystone Cops running our country, a community organizer who cannot get a single ally to come on board for a military strike.

You would think that if this Bahar al Assad is as evil as they say he is, he should be arrested when he comes to New York for the United Nations meeting in October. However, I can see a problem with the precedent that this would set in which any tin horn bureaucrat could could possibly have our President or another leader arrested if they even have to change planes on their soil

Schieffer: Don’t let the world question U.S. resolve

Bob Schieffer says, “In a dangerous world, when the United States takes a stand and then goes back on its word, we are left in an even more dangerous place.”

WH Chief of Staff McDonough acknowledged the risks are “manyfold,” saying one fear is that “somehow we get dragged into the middle of an ongoing civil war.” But he argued the U.S. plans to be “be very careful and very targeted and very limited in our engagement.”

He did not go on to tell us how this will be “very careful” and “very targeted” and “very limited”!

Didn’t Kerry just last week say the UN was useless, or words to that effect.

I thought I read that somewhere.

Remember the ridicule from the left over the coalition President Bush pulled together for the Invasion of Iraq?

This is what we hear from those same scumbags about Obama's inability to get anyone except the French to say they back him:

THE SOUND OF SILENCE

PS - I think the French are backing Obama (sort of) to encourage him to go through with his idiotic threats. After all, there is nothing they enjoy more than seeing America look assinine on the world stage.

Best quote I heard all week on this:

“If we are dangerously uncertain of the outcome and are led into war by a Commander-in-chief who can’t recognize that this conflict is pitting Islamic extremists against an authoritarian regime with both sides shouting ‘Allah Akbar’ at each other, then let Allah sort it out” - Sarah Palin

Guess who gets the gas contracts for the Qatar pipeline, and the new finds in NW Syria?

TOTAL-Elf-FINA, the same org that profited tremendously from the Libyan war. What does the DGSE have in their file over Obama???

On Friday, Chris Plante (WMAL-AM630 WASHDC) was (basically) saying a wall should be built around the area and all the rest of us do is lob ammo over the wall.
When it ‘quiets’ down, lob more ammo so they can go about ridding the world of themselves...

If this mac daddy administration was a TV soap opera it would be canceled after the first show as being so bad that nobody believes that it is for real.

I do believe this is the 7th version of what they are going to do, at least as of 9/8/2013.

The more Obama rambles on the worse it gets for him. If this was the extent of it and there was incontrovertible proof of Assad’s involvement the deed would long since have been committed.

Seriously, just arm both sides. Matter of fact, drop a bunch of strap on explosives and mannequins dressed like Jews and let them blow themselves up like popcorn on a hot plate . “Look a Jew! Allahu Akbar! *BOOM* Look a Jew! Allahu Akbar! *BOOM*Look a Jew! Allahu Akbar! *BOOM*Look a Jew! Allahu Akbar! *BOOM*Look a Jew! Allahu Akbar! *BOOM*Look a Jew! Allahu Akbar! *BOOM*”
