Al-Qaeda Vows to Slaughter Christians After U.S. ‘Liberates’ Syria

Posted By Raymond Ibrahim On September 5, 2013 @ 12:36 am In Daily Mailer,FrontPage | 13 Comments

While U.S. leaders continue pushing for war against the Syrian government, today “Al-Qaeda-linked rebels,”reports AP, “launched an assault on a regime-held Christian mountain village in the densely populated west of Syria and new clashes erupted near the capital, Damascus, on Wednesday…  In the attack on the village of Maaloula, rebels commandeered a mountaintop hotel and nearby caves and shelled the community below, said a nun, speaking by phone from a convent in the village. She spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals.”

Arabic news agency Al Hadath gives more information concerning this latest terror attack on Syria’s Christians, specifically how the al-Qaeda linked rebels “terrorized the Christians, threatening to be avenged on them after the triumph of the revolution.”

Thus al-Qaeda terrorists eagerly await U.S. assistance against the Syrian government, so they can subjugate if not slaughter Syria’s Christians, secularists, and non-Muslims — even as the Obama administration tries to justify war on Syria by absurdly evoking the “human rights” of Syrians on the one hand, and lying about al-Qaeda’s presence in Syria on the other.

Another story about our sweet syrian allies. Gentle as lambs they are.

This is getting crazier by the minute...oh well, it's obvious that the American people have no say in the matter, may as well just sit back and watch.

If it ends up with Atlanta being nuked I'll be p!ssed.

“oh well, it’s obvious that the American people have no say in the matter, may as well just sit back and watch.”

I’d tend to agree with you in most times, but this is not “most times.” It looks like keeping the calls coming in is having some impact in the House.

“If it ends up with Atlanta being nuked I’ll be p!ssed.”

Pretty fair chance that if dear leader does get to start WWIII that it will end with a lot of Americans dead or sobbing over the deaths of the people who were most important in their lives.

That’s why I respectfully say that if you have not already done so, NOW would be a good time for you to get off your ass and place three phone calls. It’ll take you all of 5 minutes.

This President is about to unite the United States in a way he, nor any previous President, has ever truly witnessed.

Hell is about to freeze over, but we’re going to find ourselves marching in the streets with our hippie cohorts, OWS, and Code Pink.

If we’re not....we get what we deserve.

Praying for the one true God to avert this war and save our Christian brothers and sisters in Syria.

Psalm 46

46 God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy habitation of the Most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved;
God will help her when morning dawns.
6 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter;
he utters his voice, the earth melts.
7 The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

8 Come, behold the works of the Lord,
how he has brought desolations on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
he breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the chariots with fire.
10 “Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
11 The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

This aptly illustrates what I have noted previously, viz.: There really are no Good Guys here. Certainly, Bashar al-Assad is not a Good Guy--in fact, he is utterly horrific--but I remain unconvinced that the opposition in Syria is generally any better...

They are much, much worse. The opposition has a rabid blood lust towards all Christians.

Hence, Obama's absolute determination to help the Al Qaeda in Syria.

It is truly maddening. Pray for our Christian brethren in Syria.

The middle east is a hell.

We should just isolate the muslims like a cancer. There is no way to fix them outside of converting them all to christianity or nuking the whole area flat.

It is crazy to think ‘democracy’ will fix anything. The muslims will just democratically vote in some crazy islamic maniacs and the problem continues.

As long as islam exists we will have this problem.

And if we have no permanent plan to fix this (see above), nor the will to do it (and we have neither a plan or the will) - we should just stay as far away from them as possible.

We are actually destroying ourselves by trying to deal with their insanity.

I will also say that I believe the Saudis are backing all of this stuff - I never used to believe that, but the news reports about Prince Bandar have changed my mind. Unfortunately our ‘rulers’ are so deep in bed with the Saudis I don’t know how we get out of this mess.

And people wonder why I have NO support for organized religion.

Let's count those who think they know who or what god is:

Buddhism - benign and don't have any proof;

Hinduism - benign and don't have any proof;

Judeaism - mostly benign, but is strange in it's beliefs, but has commonsense values for humankind, but also don't have any proof of a vengeful god who needed to be worship according to the Old Testement. What a petty god if so;

Christianity - mostly benign, but way to many intra fights over what Christ said. Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Anglican, and Protestant (Some groupings include Anglicans amongst Protestants). Then you have Episcopalians, Mormons, Lutherans and every lame ass pastor who wants to name a new church in Christ's name, thinking that he has interpreted the Bible better than others. The one thing they all have in common is Christ's teachings of peace, except for the worship thing. Really? The creator of all needs to be worshiped? Sheesh, what a low-esteem god that is.

Then we have Islam. What does Islam preach/promote? Well, all you need to do is read the Koran and the Hadiths and it will tell you about killing anybody and everybody who doesn't believe in their also made up Allah.

I remember as a child thinking that none of these organized religions have a handle on what's behind this planet and universe. How could so many religions NOT know what the ultimate purpose is? This, from an 8 year old child.

So screw every damn organized religion, especially the murderous cult of Islam. While I do believe that Jesus Christ existed and tried to better mankind, I don't believe he was the son of any god. He was just a superior man and gave his all to change things for the better. He is a hero to me.

Go ahead quote scripture to counter my assertions. Those gospels were written by men who thought the world was flat and the Sun revolved around the Earth. Tell me, please, why should I believe those old ancient superstitious men that a sin-forgiving god exits. And what the frig is sin? Something some petty god decided it wasn't to his liking? What about nowadays as the Catholic church modifies its doctrine? The 10 Commandments need modification?

I hate organized religion. Have your faith and feel at ease in your soul. Me, I'll just keep wondering why there are so many galaxies out there and what was "his" purpose for making them? And we get this one workable planet? What a throw of the dice? However, I once read something by C.S. Lewis where he postulated the the supreme entity did throw out the big bang because he just wanted to see what would develop and was a lonely for something more. It's as good as theory as any. But again, human emotion?

Back to topic, I despise Islam. I don't need a god to tell me what's morally correct. That comes from within my own innate human compassion, empathy, and sympathy. The one biblical quote I subscribed to is: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Again, that's about human compassion. Islam doesn't follow that tenant.

So start another war Obambi for your Muslim Brotherhood affiliated al-queda types who believe in just one more BS god. If I had a child of military age, I would steer them away.

Said my piece and won't argue with you believers. I often wish I could just shut down my logic and have faith, but never seem to get past the basics.

However, I will admit that Judeo-Christian values made this the greatest nation the planet has seen until those values went the way of American Idol, The Housewifes of Who gives a shit, MTV Big Brother and all the other mindless reality shows. We had it made until the liberal/progressives/socialist/communists finally won.

Israel is looking out if its interests; a powerful Arab dictatorship can wage a full scale war while rag tag terrorists will not Israel can easily handle Al Qaeda groups, just like they have handled Hamas and Hizbollah. States such as Syria and Iran are harder, very much so.

That being said, what is best for Israel is not in the US best interests when it comes to Syria. But people don’t like to hear that.

Prayer for Peace in Syria

God of Compassion,
Hear the cries of the people of Syria,
Bring healing to those suffering from the violence,
Bring comfort to those mourning the dead,
Strengthen Syria’s neighbors in their care and welcome for refugees,
Convert the hearts of those who have taken up arms,
And protect those committed to peace.

God of Hope,
Inspire leaders to choose peace over violence and to seek reconciliation with enemies,
Inspire the Church around the world with compassion for the people of Syria,
And give us hope for a future of peace built on justice for all.

We ask this through Jesus Christ,
Prince of Peace and Light of the World,
Amen.

Petition: For the people of Syria, that God may strengthen the resolve of leaders to end the fighting and choose a future of peace.

What influence does Al-Qaeda expect to have with comrade obama by threatening Christians? Have they been ignoring the LMSM?

I am not sure Israel wants the rebels to win because of the chemical weapons stockpiles in Syria. But assuming you are correct, it does not make me anti-Israel to oppose our involvement in Syria.

You’re right— just remember reading somewhere the “affiliation” of the Alawites to shia... and it has made the rounds. Weird sect Alawism kind of pagan theism of sorts or classicist?

And yet Israel wants us to get involved. Knowing what happened to Christian communities in Iraq after they engineered our involvement there. Why?

Arab Christians tend to be Arab nationalists and oppose Israel.

On the other side, although the Israelis treat their Christian citizens better than Muslim-led non-Ba'athist Arab governments do, Lebanon aside, they do not treat them well -- Christians returning from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre with candles lit from the Holy Fire on Pascha are often roughed up by Israeli soldiers and their candles stomped out; no Israelis authorities defend Christians when Haredim spit at them in the streets of Jerusalem.
