White Americans are increasingly realizing that the safest and most practical way to ensure their safety is by simply avoiding like a plague areas with substantial black populations. The country will likely quickly resegregate as this realization spreads. Carrying is not a sensible alternative when you’re confronted with mobs of hundreds of assailants.
I had to make a trip to Green Bay in June, and had the choice of going around the southern tip of Lake Michigan, through Gary, Chicago, and Milwaukee, or, by driving an extra 50 miles or so, going across the Mackinaw Bridge and on through Michigan’s UP. I chose the latter. The scenery was a hell of a lot better and the black population of the communities through which I drove was less than one or two percent.
I pray that it won’t happen, but I fear that this once-great nation could be perilously close to an all-out race war. The fury of hatred that blacks have cultivated for whites is palpable. All it will take is an incident involving a black mob besetting an armed white, resulting in six or eight dead black “youths”. The inner city where it occurs will erupt in a vicious, violent conflagration, and black mobs will block traffic and drag innocent whites out of their cars and murder them; once they’ve exhausted this supply of subjects to vent their hatred upon, large mobs will stream out of the center cities looking for more victims and plunder. They will then learn where all those guns, and all that ammunition, jumping off the shelves of gun stores has been going, and the war will be on. No city police force will be large enough to make a dent in the mayhem, and the military will have difficulty coping, as the eruption will likely spread quickly to almost all major cities in the country with a substantial black population.
If this sounds too apocalyptical, I can recall the race riots of the sixties and early seventies, and was personally in the middle of one of them. My wife found herself pursued by a mob of black men down Broad Street in Augusta, Georgia, and fortunately was able to duck into a bank, which promptly locked the doors. She later managed to make her way a few blocks back to our apartment, where I was able to rejoin her from work. We spent the night cowering in our apartment as gunfire rang out all over town around us; I clutched a 38 revolver our landlady had entrusted to me, none too confident of its reliability after she told me that her son had loaded it for her when he gave it to her over twenty years back (it hadn’t been fired since). But fortunately, no looters attempted to break in to our place, even though it was over a ghetto store.
Augusta was a nice, quite southern town, peaceable as you please, that morning. By nightfall it was Baghdad. So forgive me if “Green Acres is the place for me”. The nearest large concentrations of blacks to my current bucolic abode are over twenty miles away and that’s the way I like it.
I hope I’m wrong, but if things like this do come to pass I won’t be anywhere near the fighting, and the mobs will have to come way out into the sticks to get to me and my family. Who needs cities, anyway.
Thanks. That’s more or less how the scenario played out (without the Glock, of course). I plastered the children up against a building with me in between them and the mob, then had the women lead and follow them around the rear of the building so they would disappear.
Lots of responses about tactics AFTER drawing a weapon and deciding to shoot. My question was about the decision to engage at all, given the availability of cover. I’m not as confident as most here that killing a few of the mob will make the mob go away.
The problem is that Bel Air road leads to some of the meanest ghettos in the city so it serves as a direct pipeline for the thugs and scum. I feel for the owners. They probably thought their skate center would attract a more local, and less feral clientele. But that's not how it works in Baltimore. You're not even safe shopping at the Hunt Valley mall thanks to the light (crime) rail that effectively transports thuggery to the burbs.
I don't miss living there at all. The locals talk about all of the rebirth downtown especially in the waterfront and Canton areas. But the city is, and will always be, a sewer, with no redeeming qualities -- other than steamed crabs, crab cakes, crab soup and steamed shrimp.
When the deadly threat manifests, pick two, several yards apart. Double tap each. The crowd will scatter like a flock of starlings with a cat tossed in the middle of ‘em.
Obviously, run if you can. Get your back against something if you must and sing “Men of Harlech” as loud as you feel comfortable. Have a spare mag or two.
Oh, and stay out of blue state hell holes like that.
I moved from maryland (the FREAK state) wdc suburbs to Utah last year. No ferals any more for me.
That was a good outcome. Hope you are never in a similar situation.
You are assuming that after the first few were down dead or screaming that the others would press the attack, instead of trampling one another trying to flee. Mobs are made up of cowards. Not something I'd bet the lives of my grandkids on, though.

The pathetic thing is, I'm from Brooklyn originally and I know better. Live in the woods too long, you start to slip.

My personal plan should I ever find myself in that situation:
1) Retreat as far as possible to a defensible position, where my back is secure, and there is some cover.
2) By demeanor, make it evident that I will not fire unless under threat.
3) If advanced upon anyway, shoot center-mass at the closest one. Repeat as needed.
Having been in a situation once where I had to face down a mob of about 7 or 8 armed with just a knife, I learned a very important thing: as a group, they knew that they could take me; as individuals, they knew I would kill the first one to get close to me; no individual wanted to be first. It doesn't matter how big the group is, if nobody wants to be first.
I strongly disagree. In an urban environment, there is a good chance that such a shot would hit an innocent. If you're going to fire, only fire at a bad guy, and aim center-mass.

Oh, you are so wise to suggest we have a choice between racial segregation and racial chaos.
I think something between those two extremes would be called for.
