A three-day remembrance ceremony has got underway in the North Ossetian town of Beslan in southern Russia to commemorate the victims of a bloody hostage raid on a local school nine years ago.At 9:05 am Moscow Time on Sunday, the bell rang in the courtyard of Beslan's school No. 1 to signal the beginning of wreath-laying in the gym where more than 1,200 schoolchildren and teachers had been held hostage by terrorists during the first three days of September 2004.

Funeral music will be played in the gym for three days. People from Beslan and other cities will come to lit candles and leave bottles of water, toys and flowers.

North Ossetia’s head Taimuraz Mamsurov, whose daughter and son were among the hostages, will be the first to lay flowers.

Back in September 2004 at 09:30 am Moscow Time on September 1, 2004 —the morning of the first day of the autumn term — a group of around thirty armed men and women stormed Beslan's Middle School Number One, whose pupils were aged from seven to eighteen years old.

Most of the attackers wore black ski masks and a few were seen carrying explosive belts.

Is this why Russia supports Islamic terror in other countries?

Is this why Russia has assisted Iran in obtaining weaspons-grade nuclear production?

Is this why Russia suports Hizbollah, Iran and Syria?

Sexual Terror: The Untold Stories of Beslan Jihad
Islam-Watch.org ^ | November 18, 2008 | by Deborah Schurman-Kauflin, Ph.D
Posted on August 25, 2009 4:38:07 PM PDT by Cindy

SNIPPET: “From the days of Prophet Muhammad, sexual terror has been an integral part of Islamic Jihad. The siege of the Beslan School by Islamic Jihadis in 2004 was no exception as reveals Dr. Schurman-Kauflin. — Editor, MA Khan

Excerpt from Chapter 1, “Disturbed: Terrorist Behavioral Profiles” (2008)

On September 1, 2004, terrorists stormed a school in Beslan, Russia, and perpetrated one of the most heinous terror attacks in history. Though many people may have heard of this attack, it is very likely that most do not know what really happened there. The reality is so dark that few dare speak of what went on.”

SNIPPET: “But raping the girls was not enough for the deviants who had entered the school. The terrorists beat the other children. In fact, beatings took place regularly, and as they pummeled the little ones, the terrorists smiled and laughed. It was said that they would strike a child and then watch the child cringe. When the youngsters recoiled, their captors laughed. This says the offenders enjoyed inflicting the suffering. They wanted their victims to suffer. Such behavior is sadistic. Bringing others pain brings the sadist pleasure. And the terrorists tortured the victims in many ways.

Along with causing paralyzing fear, the terrorists had an ally in the weather. It was extremely hot outside, but the school had no working air conditioner. As the heat raged, the hostages begged for water, and at first, some was given. Time crept on, and the terrorists became increasingly cruel. They drank in front of the hostages and mocked the children who were crying out for water. Things got so bad that the victims were forced to drink their own urine. In some cases, the hostages poured urine over one another in a feeble attempt to keep cool. Seeing the suffering enhanced the joy of the perpetrators. In a twisted, ghoulish game, the terrorists put water in front of the children who were desperately thirsty and told them if they reached for the water, they would be killed.

Still, this horror wasn’t enough for the hostage takers. Raping, beating, torturing, and mocking were just not evil enough. Thus, to further frighten the victims, one terrorist stated “we came here to die.” Russian Tagirovich Khuchbarov was called the “colonel.” When the children asked for water or to use the restroom, he simply stated “I’m not your uncle, I’m a terrorist … I came here to kill.” Up until this point, the hostages most likely believed they could survive, but then…hearing these words…it meant they were to die too. This surely would have made the victims scream in their minds. If they cried out loud, they risked being beaten or shot.”

The School (Beslan Massacre)
Esquire Magazine ^ | June 2006 | C.J. Chivers
Posted on July 8, 2006 2:55:20 PM PDT by Drew68

SEPTEMBER 1. AFTERNOON. THE GYM. Kazbek Misikov stared at the bomb hanging above his family. It was a simple device, a plastic bucket packed with explosive paste, nails, and small metal balls. It weighed perhaps eight pounds. The existence of this bomb had become a central focus of his life. If it exploded, Kazbek knew, it would blast shrapnel into the heads of his wife and two sons, and into him as well, killing them all.

Throughout the day he had memorized the bomb, down to the blue electrical wire linking it to the network of explosives the terrorists had strung around them hours before. Now his eyes wandered, panning the crowd of more than eleven hundred hostages who had been seized in the morning outside the school. The majority were children, crouched with their parents and teachers on the basketball court. The temperature had risen with the passing hours, and their impromptu jail had become fetid and stinking with urine and fear. Many children had undressed. Sweat ran down their bare backs.

His eyes settled on his captors. Most of the terrorists had left the gym for defensive positions in the main school building, leaving behind a handful of men in athletic suits or camouflage pants. These were their guards. They wore ammunition vests and slung Kalashnikov rifles. A few were hidden behind ski masks, but as the temperature had risen, most had removed them, revealing faces. They were young. Some had the bearing of experienced fighters. Others seemed like semiliterate thugs, the sort of criminal that had radiated from Chechnya and Russia’s North Caucasus during a decade of war. Two were women wearing explosive belts.

Islamic militants are a much larger problem in Russia than here. Yet they seem to be fine with terrorism outside of their borders.

What actually happened at Beslan, particularly its finale, is extremely murky, to say the least.

The Russian government response makes 9/11 and Waco a model of transparency and honesty.

“Boston Bomber Could Have Been Deported After 2009 Arrest”
April 19, 2013

SNIPPET: “In 2004 Chechen Islamic militants attacked a school in Beslan, North Ossetia, Russia and they murdered 380 children, parents, teachers and visitors after holding more than 1,000 captive for three days. Judicial Watch also obtained intelligence documents from the government detailing that terrorist attack. Jointly released by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the October 12, 2004, report analyzes the Beslan terrorist attack with a view toward gleaning lessons for potential attacks on schools in the United States.

There’s no telling how many of these Chechen terrorists have infiltrated the United States or how many opportunities the government has missed to protect the country by deporting them. Osama bin Laden specifically chose Chechnya as a terrorist training camp because it’s an “area unreachable by strikes from the west,” according to the intelligence report obtained by JW years ago.

If Boston isn’t safe from Chechens I can only imagine what it would be like in Sochi

Thy martyrs O Lord in their courageous contest for Thee received as a prize the crowns of life and incorruption from Thee our Immortal God. For since they possessed Thy strength, they cast down the tyrants and wholely destroyed the demons’ strengthless presumption. O Christ God by their prayers save our souls, since Thou art merciful.

— the Troparion of the Holy Martyrs (Tone 4)

Holy New-Martyrs of Beslan, pray to Christ our God for us that our souls may be saved.

No ecclesiastical authority has yet proclaimed the glorification of the Orthodox Christian who were murdered for their faith at Beslan, but it doesn’t matter — they are holy martyrs. St. Herman of Alaska asked the intercessions of St. Peter the Aleut when he heard of his death, not waiting for any Holy Synod to make a formal proclaimation.
