U.S. Military Action Against Syria ‘Going to Happen’ Even If Congress Votes Against It...
The Blaze ^ | 31 August, 2013 | Dave Urbanski

President Obama will carry out military action against Syria even if Congress votes against it, a senior State Department official tells Fox News’ Chief Washington Correspondent James Rosen.

Rosen’s notes concerning the White House’s reported intentions regarding the Syrian crisis were posted on Fox News colleague Greta Van Susteren’s Gretawire site late Saturday afternoon.

Rosen reports that “the president’s decision to seek a congressional debate and vote was a surprise to most if not all of” his national security team members. The state department official who communicated with Rosen added that Obama’s move to seek congressional approval “did not supplant the president’s earlier decision to use force in Syria, only delayed its implementation.”

“That’s going to happen, anyway,” the source told Rosen, which is why Obama’s Rose Garden remarks Saturday included his belief that he possesses the authority to launch strikes even without congressional authorization, Rosen adds.

The White House Saturday sent Congress a draft of a resolution authorizing Obama to use military force against Syria and laying out the administration’s claim that Assad’s regime killed more than 1,000 last week in a chemical weapons attack.

The resolution also says the objective of a U.S. military response would be to “deter, disrupt, prevent and degrade” the regime’s ability to use chemical weapons going forward.

The resolution authorizes Obama to use the military as he determines “necessary and appropriate” to serve that goal. The draft doesn’t lay out a timeline for action but does say only a political settlement can resolve the Syrian crisis.

But many people believe he takes orders.

I don't disagree.

so to install Biden.... to block Hillary (who we know they don’t like).

I don't think it matters who they put in, as long as they are beholding. There may be someone greater who has different plans though.

That’s why I think Israel is so involved. My thinking is time is too short before Iran gets he bomb and that complicates things.

Yep. So go ahead and vote against it, Congress. Show Americans what kind of assclown wannabe dictator they allowed to occupy the oval office.

We should have destroyed Assad’s gas arsenal as soon as reports began to surface of atrocities. They are most probably long since relocated and hidden, and thus the Kenyan can do nothing about it short of regime change.

Even so, it will be breathtaking if he does it after a no vote by Congress, don’t you think?

I do, too. The UK has backed off. Something has to be noted when the ONLY country to back the US is the freaking French?
Those who specialize in retreat?
So, once Congress comes back in session the desperate obamaumao hits Congress up for a vote of approval on war powers... and will not get it. The simple fact is that the US cannot attack another sovereign country because some “rebels” have fomented a chemical attack to make it look like the Syrian govt. did it. This is classic soviet ‘false flag’ op, designed to drag the uninitiated into war.

Everyone in FR has to understand the underlying “stuff” in this conflict. The issues are two fold. One, the natural gas pipeline proposed which would erode Russia’s deathgrip on natural gas supplies to Europe. The US is backing a pipeline, pure and simple and it’s not the one that Russia wants. Russia supports Syria because of the beneficial setting that preserves the Russian monopoly on natural gas.

Two, a more sinister one that explains the French. That is black tar heroin from Afghanistan and the trade with Syria that is ancient in this regard. The US seems to be providing protection for the heroin dealers— the major ones- to continue their trade. The connection and power base in France on this massive amount of cash and dope-—Marseilles. About which for a refresher see “The French Connection”-— a true story and true today.

We should not support obamaumao’s face saving waste of our good soldiers. Period.

If he does it... it’ll work against him. Even with the media singing his praises, the public doesn’t want another intervention in that area. It’s akin to bombing an aspirin factory... nothing to gain except to throw his weight around with “his” military.. the same military he has such disdain for otherwise.
Of course, if it fails to gain him notoriety, he will blame the repubs. The spineless repubs. You’d think they’d learn after awhile. I think the repub establishment are so anti conservative, that they’d side with Obama over us any day. Just for spite. How dare we illiterate group of people think we know anything.

I wonder if he took Ricky Roma’s advice from Glengarry Glen Ross....”You never open your mouth unless you know what the shot is.”

Our allies won’t back us. Our Congress probably won’t buy in. 90% of our populace thinks it’s a turd-in-the-punch-bowl idea. What then? Barack attacks anyway?

If he does, I’m telling folks right now, he may have pushed his luck too far.

The natives are restless, I don’t care what his imagined sons may have looked like.

Obama never had much credibility or respect in the world. They gave him the Nobel Peace Prize for some unknown reason and he has proven to be an armature buffoon. Now the whole world knows he is a stuffed shirt, a nothing, a man afraid of his own shadow and this makes the world much more dangerous than it was under Bush.

How do you spell “IMPEACHMENT”?

“Say it loud and clear, Impeachment is here!”

Problem is: zero and his crew instigated this whole thing to begin with.
Just like in Egypt.
Plus, the chemical attacks that first were reported were the al-qeada affiliated rebels releasing chlorine.
We need to stay out of this one.
Especially since zero’s intent is to install Muslim brudder hoods in power there.
That was his intent in Libya and Egypt.

With 90% of Americans against it, I don’t think Boner has the bb’s.

All depends how bad the blackmail they have on Boner is.

I suspect big time bad, prison time bad.
