If the war goes wrong, and wars almost always go wrong, President Obama will see the memorandums of various members of the military who warned him. And, they will be called to testify and tell the world that President Obama was warned but went ahead anyway – without congressional approval in violation of the Constitution.

Wouldn't knowingly executing an unconstitutional order make the military officer(s) as guilty as the civilian issuing that unconstitutional order? At what point does it become duty of the military to tell Obama to go pound sand???

Obama can order strikes as long as he gets congressional authorization within 90 days.

Conservatives supported this for three decades.

Obama broke that covenant with Libya and he will do it again with Syria.

If Obama’s end-game is worldwide chaos, here is his opportunity. Strike Syria, thereby allowing Arab nations to attack Israel while Russia and China attack the US.

Once US servicemen die, Obama will get all the popular and congressional approval he needs. Total war could provide the cover required to restructure the western nations (North America and Europe) into a socialist utopia, shedding debt, shredding constitutions and ensuring 70 years of subjugation.

If Bambi had any brains he would take Congress at it’s word and present the case to them. It is an out for himself that he should be looking at. He does seem like the little sooky boy that just has to get his own way though come hell or high water.

The inane attack won’t be an impeachable offense. The unforeseen consequences may flip that.

Impeachment for what? And over a piddling entity like Syria? Elmer Fudd has been been defying Congress and the courts while disregarding the Constitution since he swore a false oath on January 20, 2009.

What makes anyone think that he will allow an impeachment? He will simply disband the Congress, impose martial law and declare himself President for life. And his media butt buddies will all fall in line to kiss his a$$.

He began his presidency prematurely winning the Nobel Peace Prize and could end it being impeached for starting an illegal war without congressional or UN approval – violating both domestic and international law.

Good luck with that.
The chances of The One ever being impeached are less than Zer0.

This is a real question. Is there anyone in the military that can tell the president NO? I know he is the commander in chief, but if the military knows what he’s doing is unconstitutional and plain old insane...the military is sworn to uphold the Constitution, and they should especially when they are given unconstitutional orders.

“Obama May Be Walking Into an Impeachment Trap”

Russia threatening an attack on Saudi Arabia if the US attacks Syria with President Putin ordering a “massive military strike” against Saudi Arabia in the event that the West attacks Syria.

Other than the loss of oil, I'm trying to find something bad about that. Exempt Israel and they can bomb the rest of the middle east for all I care.

Boehner lacks the balls to bring articles of impeachment against Herr Obama.

It's just that simple.

Good grief, giving Boehner, McConnell, Cantor, et al, that much credit? What planet are we on? Is this still Earth?

They are not going to impeach half a Negro in this country.

Dreams of impeachment are just that Dreams.

Last I heard yesterday, even Obama was saying “limited, narrow” attack.

Maybe he’ll work out a side deal with the Russians that will let him back down gracefully. With all of the warning he’s given Assad, a few bombs in the desert will make him look tough and principled, but not do any damage.

535 members of Congress — 163 members sent letters because they believe in the Constitution. It’s at least a beginning. Thank you.

Can we totally blame obama? He’s only doing what the GOPe CONgress is allowing him to do. They keep erasing their lines in the sand. CONgress is the parenting equivalent of telling children that they better stop misbehaving before mom counts to three. The kids then get three seconds to misbehave, which tells them that their actions aren’t really that bad, and mom ends up doing nothing in the end.

I am beginning to wonder about what type of people are calling themselves conservatives these days...they must live in an alternative universe...or think we are easily manipulated...

I certainly "wish" Obama would be impeached...but as they say..."Wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which gets filled up first"

There is no chance, none, not going to ever happen of Obama getting impeached...

He could rape little boys and eat live kittens on the White Hut lawn and it will not happen

First of all the House doesn't have the balls, the Senate even if in GOP hands won't have the votes to convict

Why do they pretend it's possible...?

In my personal stinky opinion, I could not care any less if we hit either side in Syria — it’s evil vs evil-er and the world would be a better place with fewer moose-limbs. And yes, I’ll paint the entire region with a broad-brush until they reform their homicidal-maniac breeding religion (bottom-up or top-down, no preference).

The only reservation I have is that 0bama will just poke the beast with a stick and piss it off, rather than *finally* setting the example by pounding them relentlessly until we either run out of munitions and/or they lack the means or will to retaliate.

It’s probably a good thing I’m not in charge...

While I have little hope that Obama will get the impeachment he deserves, I would think many Democrats are beginning to have their doubts about Dear Leader. The growing unpopularity of Obamacare and now Obama committing US forces for some highly unpopular mission in Syria without Congressional authorization or even support of allies or the UN, should give Democrats up for re-elction in 2014 a lot of apprehension.
