Paul also explained that he had difficulty seeing any American interests in the Syrian conflict.
“I can’t see fighting to impose Sharia law in Syria,” Paul said. “I can’t see sending my son to fight with Islamic rebels against Christians. I also can’t see my son going to fight on the same side as al Qaeda.”
Under Sharia law, Paul noted, Christians would be persecuted for blasphemy, citing a woman in Pakistan who was jailed for blasphemy after she drank from a cup shared by Muslim workers.
“That is not something I want to send our boys and girls to die for,” Paul added.

Because according to Article II only the president can call the Congress into special session. And I'd be surprised if Obama was willing to do that.

Thank God Obama is an indecisive wuss. Its too late to bomb Syria now. Assad and his forces have moved into the heavily populated neighborhoods. Bomb him and you just kill thousands more innocent people.
He also said he would seek a restraining order if Obama tries to bypass congressional authorization.

The brass in the Pennntagon have no problem sending our troops to fight with al-Qaaaeeeda. They, like the preezy, spit on the graves of those killed on nine eleven.

I have several friends (in three different families) who have young sons either enlisted or planning to enlist in the military.
In each case I have personally known these boys since they were babies. It’s sickening to think of them doing this. They are willingly submitting to an unworthy, America-hating commander-in-chief.
Moreover the rules of engagement these days are not favorable to survival. Nor will these young men be encouraged to profess their faith. They will however be encouraged if not obligated to profess approval of homosexual behavior.
They just don’t see that this is no longer their fathers’ America, nor his armed forces.
They don’t see that there’s no good reason to risk one’s life for any political faction in Syria or Afghanistan or any other foreign country, especially with Obama calling the shots.
Pearls before swine, that’s what MY father would have said. And he was proud to have served his country honorably in WW2.

From now on lets avoid civil wars in the Middle East. Maybe we sit this one out?

And that is the unvarnished truth of the matter here. Obama’s historical and religious allegiance is to Islam. I believe that allegiance is to the side of Islam that forsakes all else but total Jihad against Infidels.
There is no way I would allow a child of mine to participate in this madness of attacking Syria, especially since this President has shown he doesn’t know shit from shinola with respect to true conventional American interests.
He is a traitor, he is a Muslim, and he works specifically for the Muslim Brotherhood. He always comes down on the side of what I consider insanity when it comes to the mid east. I’d be damned if I let any of my children be sacrificed for the likes of him.

Suffice it to say that there is not a single aspect of this whole Syrian debacle that warrants the risking of one American life, or the cost of a single bullet.
I could not care less what one Muslim does to another.

If Obama does not turn around his policy of helping Islamists persecute and kill Christians abroad, this country risks incurring the wrath of a just and holy God. Said wrath is distinctly unpleasant.
