There may be some good news on the horizon for Valerie Harper. Harper's doctor revealed on Today that the actress' brain cancer may be close to remission.

In January, Harper was diagnosed with leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, a rare condition that occurs when cancer cells spread into the fluid-filled membrane surrounding the brain.

I pray Valerie recognizes this as a second chance from God for her to repent and give her life to Him and His Son...don't waste this chance to turn to Christ if you haven't yet done so.

Does lowering oneself and appearing on ‘dancing with the stars’ qualify as getting closer to Christ. (I think not). I would hate to think the worst of her and think that was all a very bad publicity stunt. She was going to be dead in a month back dead. Hollywood is beyond the beyond, once again.

Her eternal life is more important than this temporal life, but I too wish her good health.

Amen! May she turn to JESUS and repent and embrace the joy and peace that HE gifts! Praise GOD... I pray that she does.

Evangelization aside, it illustrates to me what a beloved character Rhoda was, from the early Mary Tyler Moore show.

Contemporary tv moguls, writers and actors and award show producers could take note

I’ll join you in that prayer—the most important thing on this earth that a person might do.

From another article I read, the doctors say it isn’t a matter of IF the cancer will stop responding to the chemo drugs, it’s a matter of WHEN it will stop responding.

So they are saying it just bought her some time.
Months of time at this point.

Hope she feels good and lives a long time. I’ll leave her religious life to her. Met her once and we talked about Rhoda - one of the few stars to fully embrace the character that made her famous. Nice lady.

As I understand it, gigs on some of these reality shows are a way to funnel funds to stars/former stars who are in dire financial straits and who don’t necessarily just want a handout.

I don’t have TV and have never seen DWS, but since it involves competitive dancing, I assume appearing on it could mean one was fairly fit. Perhaps she wanted to show that she was far from dead.

I know devout Christians and they rarely, if ever, judge other people, especially on superficial grounds. if they do so, they usually ask forgiveness. It really is healthier to pray for others, rather than to judge them, especially without any direct personal knowledge of who they really are.

I can think of a handful of other people that should have this disease all in Washington. I also hope Valerie does well she was a pissa.
