FORT HOOD – U.S. Army Maj. Nidal Hasan will be executed for the 2009 shooting rampage on post that left 13 people dead and more than 30 wounded.
The jury panel of 13 U.S. Army officers delivered the verdict on post moments before 2 p.m. Wednesday. They deliberated for less than three hours.
Last Friday, the same panel unanimously found Hasan guilty of 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder for the 2009 shooting rampage at Fort Hood.
This sentencing verdict ends the court martial after 17 days. In it, Hasan, who defended himself, never revealed a motive, did not present a defense and refused to cross-examine any of his victims.
Hasan will immediately lose his rank of major and he will stop getting paid in two weeks.
The Army will soon transfer him to the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. to begin serving his sentence.
But an execution is not imminent. Hasan automatically gets an appeal and it has been more than 50 years since the military executed anyone.

On the other hand, much more likely, Obama could, on January 19th, 2017, commute this to life as his pean to the anti-death penalty crowd.
For me personally, I'd take the wheels off his wheelchair and slide his meals under the door 10 feet away.
If Obama had a son, he would look like Hasan.

I can only pray that Nidal is executed in the same manner that India did for the Mumbai terrorists, i.e., new rope lubricated with pork grease.

I believe that the Comanche had this little pastime where the guest of honor is staked out on an ant hill and served up with honey. To my mind it meets with the local customs and honors tradition.
Now for the long stream of lie-ber-al appeals....
If we use a dirty needle a jug of store brand knock-off Drano, we can get the whole execution in under ten bucks.
No, just rename an artillery or tank range impact area as Nidal Hasan Impact area and put his @@$ out there in his wheelchair.
Will there be rioting in middle-eastern hell holes? Will 0bama commute his sentence as the last action of his failed presidency?
I think this worm will not die by execution in an American prison.
The media should leave him alone and not give him interviews and publish his hateful views. But they won’t.
As much as I would like to see it, it will never happen. Too many liberals in the justice system.
The President also has power to commute the sentence to LWOP. And once he does, it cannot be overturned by a Court or by a successor president. I have no doubt 0bama will do this.
