NYPD Designates Mosques as Terrorism Organizations

NEW YORK) — The New York Police Department has secretly labeled entire mosques as terrorism organizations, a designation that allows police to use informants to record sermons and spy on imams, often without specific evidence of criminal wrongdoing.

Designating an entire mosque as a terrorism enterprise means that anyone who attends prayer services there is a potential subject of an investigation and fair game for surveillance.

Im co flicted about these matters.

On the one hand a lot of mosques are already known to be terrosist supporting entities

On the other the precedent this sets up might allow for Christian Churchs to be viewed and treated in the same manner.

Well, when you say that “freedom of religion” is protected by the Constitution, where do you draw the line on “religion”?

Admittedly, it’s a dangerous question, when the government draws the line. But I’m afraid it’s a necessary one.

The question arose when pot smokers claimed that their religion required them to consume mushrooms. It was finally determined that that was a fake religion.

What about Satanists, who say that their religion requires to go around killing people?

And what about Muslims? Can we really afford to tolerate a religion that requires it’s believers to cut off your head or enslave you because you’re an infidel? Or is there some line between “moderate” Muslims and fanatical Muslims?

Difficult questions. In this case, I think the New York police are quite right. Certainly better than Obama and Big Sis and the IRS spying on Christians because they claim that they are the real threat.

Why, the DOD has already said Christians are suspect.

A dozen “terrorism enterprise investigations” of mosques since 09/11/2001.

That’s an average of one per year.

This is obviously not a widespread practice by the NYPD.

About time someone woke up to smell the stench coming from the Taliban Command Centers disguised as houses of worship to Satan.

Although any Mosque that is not fomenting terrorism, is still an abomination to God and should be leveled to the ground anyway.

I am not sure what is wrong with this.

If ANY ‘religion’ was using their gathering places to house terrorist activities then that should not make them automatically safe from surveilance.

That would be cutting off your nose to spite your face.

And it is irrelevant that most muslims are not terrorists, what’s more important is that most terrorists are muslims.

If they teach islam, which is a death cult, then they are terrorists.

I was flicking thru a relative’s cable TV this morning.

Guess what channel became available this week?

Al jazeera.

I “parental blocked” it, but the channel name still appears when you browse thru channels.

I don’t think FIOS lets you “delete” it, or make it not appear.

If anybody figures out how, please tell me.

Depends on your definition of terrorist. Our government has a pretty wonky view of who is and is not a terrorist.

Or another point of view.... You could occasionally watch it. See what the enemy is up to. Just a thought.

Probable cause is key in regrardto investigating a religious organization. I’d say ifthere is probabe cause to believe that the organization is engaging in criminal acts or activities that would pose a risk involivng serious bodily harm (key phrases) then I might not have a problem with it. The “problem” is ambiguous terminolgy and its interpretation by the investigative agencies who can wield the power to opress and/or target individuals or organizations for personal or political purposes. Probable cause would need to be narrowly defined in this regard or it could be abused (like executive orders)

Easy, elegantly simple solution to the question of precedent consequent to supression of Islam in America is to accept the reality that Islam is a war plan/government.

Islam is not a religion. Interestingly, the Masons have had the “Three Great Religious Books” as part of their activities/ceremonies until recently. Now, the Koran is gone and the Old and New testaments remain. A book of constitutions replaced the Koran.

America must reject and remove Islam from America because Islam is antithetical to America and is irreconcilable with America.

Islam is treason. Here’s the reason:
Islam demands the entire world submit to Sharia Law.

Americans don’t do submission.

Time to play Cowboys and Muslims, Final Round.
