Glenn Beck warned America in the strongest of terms on Tuesday that military intervention in Syria could lead to World War III, with the United States squaring off against China, Russia and Iran.

I heard him discussing this. Sure would seem to open up a Pandora’s box. I guess he has a touch of the dramatic.
Glen Beck is wrong. There will be some posturing and a few missiles tossed around.
Brigitte Gabriel had a good point, 2 million got killed down in Congo. Then why weren’t we down there?? Something more to the picture here I’ve got to think but our foes or at least the allies of our opponent, are big boys alright.
If the US and the West are in a perilous position now, what will happen 1 year down the road when Iran has Nukes? At some point if we don’t take the Iranians out now, we will have a much tougher time of it in the future. Beck is an alarmist but we should listen anyway...
I’ve seen it that way too some, after all, Israel has already conducted air strikes I believe 2 times against Syria in all this.
We’ll survive an attack on Syria but its the resulting regional war that will hurt us. Its especially true when you consider that we have the most rabidly anti Israeli UN ambassador we’ve ever had in an already anti Israeli UN.
Samantha Power is chomping at the bit for a reason to invade Israel and has said so.
China has nothing to gain by going to the mat for Syria, they have the upper hand. Russia is in ascendance, they’ll posture, but that’s it. Iran has ignored us successfully for 30 years, so why change?
I can see all those futuristic apocalyptic imitations of the worst American writer since James Fenimore Cooper, Tom Clancy (according to Christopher Buckley), all those vanity projects of the local literary heroes, that you all know without me having to list their names in vain, being updated as we speak.
Beck is referring to out debt situation in the aftermath of our attack on Syria. China may call our debt, or demand concessions from a position of ultimate strength. That could be the end of our nation.
Maybe, just maybe, America would bring back American industry.

It seems there is a natural gas pipeline that needs to connect from resource rich Qatar to Turkey, to serve the E.U. Unfortunately Syria is in the way - and their natural gas rich Russian allies like it that way - keeps their gas on top in the E.U. So I suppose this all boils down to a natural resource power play. But really, who wants to play on this president’s team? Not me.

Only if we re-armed on a scale as we did during WW II. However, our defense budget is being decimated and used as an ATM for the welfare state, so unlikely unless things drastically change.
Our enemies know that the safest, surest, most cost-effective way to weaken the United States is simply to sit back and let Obama finish out his second term unhindered. They won’t rock the boat over Syria.
