All of us in the conservative movement know that Obama should have been impeached long ago for his arrogance and trampling on our Constitution, but until now, we haven't had a broad enough consensus in the country to go forward. Now we do.
The upcoming war on Syria is wildly unpopular, with less than 10% of Americans supporting it, and for the first time I can recall, even Democrats and Indies despise Obama as much as we do. While our neighborhood is solidly conservative, the US sites where our import-export business operates have lots of Democrats and liberals. For this reason we don't bring up politics at all near the worksite, as frustrating as it's been to silently hear these starry-eyed fools and their admiration for Obama. Yet recently we haven't had to.
On their own, the Democrats around there have been expressing a level of rage against Obama that I've never heard before, and several liberals and Independents have even raised the specter of impeaching Obama before we've even gotten to it! Everyone across the spectrum is furious about Obama's wag-the-dog act with Syria. It's obvious what's going on. Obama is failing at home and becoming deeply unpopular, the economy is in the tank, his second-term agenda is faltering, so he desperately needs a distraction, like Clinton in Kosovo but much more dangerous in Obama's case.
Thus Obama is resorting to the classic prop of desperate, power-hungry tyrants for centuries: the false flag attack designed to drum up sympathy for a war to distract from his embarrassing domestic failures. Its obvious whats going on in Syria. Assad was already smashing the rebels there, who are mostly al Qaeda types from abroad anyway, radical Muslims who hate Christians and other Muslims, and the UN inspectors had just arrived in the country. He obviously had no interest in using chemical weapons, but the al Qaeda rebels obviously did. They had enough control of the depots and ties to Islamic fundamentalist funding from Saudi Arabia that they had their own stockpile of chemical weapons, quite likely aided and guided by Obamas agents on the ground (all this NSA snooping isnt anti-terrorist, in fact for tyrants like Obama, its as much to aid useful terrorist as to fight them). So the rebels used the chem weapons likely with outside guidance- and against civilians closer to Assad no less- then turned around and blamed them on Assad. And Obama and Kerry, desperate for an excuse to change the news cycle and distract from their scandals and Constitutional violations, were eager to grab onto that lifeline. Thats also why Obama and Kerry are so desperate to get the war started without Congressional consultation or Constitutional authority, since they know the UN inspectors there will soon find that it was the rebels behind the attack, not Assad, and they dont want that evidence to go public.
Of course, this desperation will also be Obamas downfall, and his failure here is that the American people are not buying it in any way, not even liberals and Independents. The spike in gas prices alone is royally pissing off everyone, including liberals and Indies, and nobody wants to step into this stupidity in Syria.
This is making Obama even more desperate to push ahead and try to weaken the objections from all sides against his tyrannical power grab. Therefore as a result, he's committing a direct violation of the Constitution by going ahead into war without official, recorded Congressional debate, voice votes, authorization and approval, and this is an impeachable offense. In fact its even worse than that- Obama and Kerry are providing direct support for the al Qaeda forces who dominate the rebels, that is, the same Islamic extremists who have attacked our homeland and are fighting our soldiers in Afghanistan. So in other words, Obama is now providing direct aid and comfort to a sworn enemy of the United States, and thats not only impeachable- thats high treason. While I was skeptical about the wisdom of the Iraq War (too many pseudo-conservative neocon Trojan horses like Douglas Feith and Paul Wolfowitz pushing us into it), Bush himself acted properly and got Congressional approval for it, so his actions were fully Constitutional, and he wasnt trying to cover up for domestic failures as his approval ratings were solid in 2003 and the economy was doing well. With Obama, its an obvious wag-the-dog and false flag scenario, and in contrast to Bushs very Constitutional behavior, Obama is violating both the letter and spirit of the Constitution. Even the Democrats are supporting us on this.
The Constitutional reasons behind this and previous violations are enough justification to go ahead with the impeachment of Obama and Kerry (and Hillary Clinton while were at it, shes still gotten off way too easy for Benghazi). But there is tremendous political advantage for the conservative movement as well. With Obama struggling with impeachment and the stern disapproval of the nation, his entire second-term agenda will fall apart. That means everything hes been pushing- his moronic attempts to take over the schools, Obamacare, immigration reform, his oppressive taxes, his budget excesses, his arrogant attempts to rig the farm bill- itll all fall apart. The Republicans in Congress would be fools not to take advantage of this moment and historic blunder by Obama. Now is the moment to impeach him for all the violations he has perpetrated on the Constitution and on our nation. All this effort needs is a push, from us- in the form of writing and calling our representatives in Congress, putting out letters to the editor, demonstrations where appropriate and in general keeping the impeachment theme in the sights of the media and the public considerations.
Start by writing your representative and telling him you do not support any action against Syria UNLESS they pose a threat to the US.
“The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.” ~ Senator Barack Hussein Obama, December 20, 2007
These people should be left alone to kill each other in peace.
As long as Hussein can blackmail congress into submission, nothing will be done.
I thought that was “in pieces.” No? Got luv john f’n kerry for the chutzpa he’s got. (He served in VN if you didn’t know. And then disgraced himself with the winter warrior deal. And continues to disgrace himself and his country to this day.)
Good luck on all that...
You apparently haven’t had your hopes dashed as long as many of us longtime Freepers.
Black Republicans file Articles of Impeachment against Obama
LOL — you’ve been here longer than I have!
Congratulations on being the ultimate optimist!
The amount of double standard and hypocrisy is so high its almost hilarious
Bush’s Iraq War
war criminal (got UN and US approval), rush to war (spend over a year to get approval), unilateral war (30+ coalition allies)
Yet for Obama’s Libya’s war
No UN or US Approval, didn’t bother with getting approval from congress, had 1 other ally
Hypocrites...
Obama and his team contradict past statements on war powers, Syria

“he’s committing a direct violation of the Constitution by going ahead into war without official, recorded Congressional debate, voice votes, authorization and approval”
I blame Bohener for this.
After 911 congress gave Bush authorization to fight an undefined and unrestricted “global war on terrorism” and this authorization is still valid today.
Obama’s lawyers probably told him that all he has to do is argue that the use of chemical weapons is an act of terrorism.
Bohener should have voted to repeal that authorization a long time ago. If he wanted he could also pass a resolution against going to war in Syria. But no. He’s a subservient backstabber who is probably taking bribes from the libs. This is not going to end well.
Where are the weapons of mass destruction mr Obama ?
Is it possible for the senate to pass a resolution that would forbid the president from using any military assets in Syria?
Even if they could, it’s doubtful that Harry Reid would go along with anything like that, since he’s 0bama’s lap dog.
Don’t waste your time or postage. 90% of the Congress critters back the Black Emperor to the hilt. THEY WILL DO ANYTHING TO KEEP THE FOCUS OFF OF THEM AND THE WAY THEY HAVE AIDED AND ABETTED THE RAPE OF THIS NATION AND ITS TREASURY.
