New Obama Scandal Erupts: Trump Targeted
American Spectator ^ | August 25, 2013 | Jeffery Lord

... Now here’s a curious development.

A very curious development that shows exactly how the Obama Chicago hardballers and their state run media allies play the game.

On Saturday, up pops a story from the Associated Press that is promptly run by Politico.

The headline?

N.Y. sues ‘Trump University’

The story’s key graphs read — and I have put the relevant parts in bold print:

ALBANY, N.Y. — New York’s attorney general sued Donald Trump for $40 million Saturday, saying the real estate mogul helped run a phony “Trump University” that promised to make students rich but instead steered them into expensive and mostly useless seminars, and even failed to deliver promised apprenticeships.

...What’s missing from this gem of a story that typifies the Obama-loving media?

This…buried in an earlier-in-the-week news story from the Wall Street Journal about President Obama’s about-to-take-place tour of New York State colleges. Say again…that word would be colleges.

Wrote the WSJ, again, bold print provided:

Later Thursday, before he is scheduled to speak in Syracuse, Mr. Obama will meet privately with New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, according to an aide in the attorney general’s office.

... Did they really think no one would notice that the Democrat who is Attorney General of New York meets privately on a Thursday with the President of the United States whose administration has been caught red-handed manipulating the IRS for political purposes–and three days later the AG sues Obama’s famous arch critic Donald Trump? In the very week the Times says Obama’s mission is to shame colleges over their costs?

And the suit is over Trump University?

I don’t know about George but his brother is making out pretty good. He is on Fox News quite a bit and has other speaking engagements. George needs to get some assistance from his brother on making lemonade out of lemons.

You cannot guarantee success no matter what school you attend. I have a cousin with a PHD who works at a pizza hut. Not putting down pizza workers of course.

I know a young man who has a MS in microbiology who is working as a janitor in a small town Middle School. I think he’s uninterested in relocating to where he would need to in order to work in that field.

Trump and Levin. Those two teaming up would make an interesting combination.

Targeting political adversaries is not what a state’s AG’s office is for. It’s not what our judicial system is for. It’s abuse of office, authority, taxpayer funds.

The stress of arrest and trial and threat of possible conviction were punishment enough. There was the financial burden of defending himself. And...He has permanently lost his anonymity.

Zimmerman was targeted to send a message to the rest of us who fear being put through that hellish experience. His persecution was a warning that the state can and will destroy your life.
