Personally, I’ve never believed that there are Americans who don’t have $5 to spare for a service that they intentionally use.

There are those who argued with me that it is true there are people who can’t spare 5 bucks. I still don’t see how that can be true, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Instead of $5, such people should send in 4, 3, 2, or 1. Anything helps.

Most people, however, can drop a $20 at a restaurant at a moment’s notice.

So, if ANYONE reading this is an INTENTIONAL User of Free Republic, and absolutely if they are a person calling themselves a FREEPER, these people should drop a 20 in the donation box (unless they fit the above 5,4,3,2,1 concern.)

God bless and keep you, dearest xzins. I sure can’t argue with you, but of course we aren’t privy to the needs, finances or circumstances of others, particularly the elderly and ill on very limited incomes. Very generous FReepers, like you, always make up for those folks and I trust they’re actually needy at the time, but more importantly, I pray that their circumstances rapidly improve.

You’re also right, that a whole lot of people can and do, drop a $20 at a restaurant without batting an eye, and the price of a Burger and fries at a fast food joint could be used for a $10 Monthly or thereabout.

It’s priorities, I reckon.

Thank you so much, dearest xzins.
