Police in Washington state are searching for two young suspects who beat a World War II veteran to death in a parking lot Wednesday night.
The Spokane Police Department says in a press release officers responded to reports of an assault and found the victim in his car with serious head injuries. He later died in the hospital.
Authorities on Thursday released surveillance photos of the two suspects, who they describe as African-American males between the ages of 16 and 19.
Friends identified the victim as 88-year-old Delbert Belton, and say he was sitting outside a lodge for the Fraternal Order of the Eagles when he was attacked.

Reading the comments under the story in the Spokane paper which reported the crime, a number of liberal commenters were upset that the paper reported the ethnicity of the individuals involved. That’s how crazy it’s getting. It’s racist for the police to provide a description of the perps in a city with a population over 200k where there’s only about 500-1000 young, black males. Apparently the police and the paper should have only described what kind of shoes the perps were wearing. They also blasted Drudge for reporting the story.

Delbert “Shorty” Belton served in the U.S. Army.
I hope that somebody will determine which of these four Army divisions he served with, so that the appropriate Army Division Association can be notified.

When we finally see TV face pics of the perps , they’ll be their elementary school pictures.
